Cheers for the races tonight boys, by far the best I've had online so far! Can't talk on the mic much for fear of getting an ear bashing from the gf who's trying to sleep, you know what it's like I'm sure!

First race starting in pole was about the most tense I've been in an online race, Id read that there were some quick drivers in this group and the pressure from Dean was too much for my shaky hands lol!

Hope to catch up with you tomo night, oh and a big thanks to Lunchbox for starting this thread, cheers mate.

I managed a low 1.08 on sport mediums which were approximately 3 seconds quicker than comfort mediums so race mediums, (if its a linear improvement), would result in a 1.05.

Thanks for my first GT5 online races. 👍 Didn't have clue what I was doing, used the wrong tyres for the first 2/3 races.

Managed 1:04.6?? at Tsukuba in race (RM's). 👍

It'll be good if you could. I know I've lost my edge the past year and a bit, but I couldn't get close to your time on Sport Mediums. I'm hoping they were Sport Softs, otherwise I'm in trouble.

I run this on comforts before, after seeing what could be done on Sport (M) I had a free run. After 7 laps was doing 1'08.0xx and just one lap at 1'07.9xx I think it was, No way was I going to find another 2.5

Just to clarify, the Tsukuba 1.05's are being done on Racing Mediums and Sphinx posted a 1.04.6xx!👍

(No slip streaming on flying laps, it gives you a second at least, Deano33 and I were testing this on Sunday)

So Sphinx has laid down the gauntlet gentlemen......see you on track tonight where we will run a shorter practice session and get the racing going.

If you have some of the people on this thread on your friends list you are able to goto the lounge under comminity and you will see a yellow icon showing they are in a race online etc. You can click on this and be taken to the game in progress

Great time mate, I think 1.04's are only possible if you get a tow from the car in front but I may be wrong?

I recently bought my PS3 from GAME and they recommended an EX01 bluetooth headset designed specifically for gaming not mobiles. Price of £19.99 that was reduced to £12.00 as a promotional offer. Had no problems with it so far, after initial pairing it pairs automatically when you power on the console. Any bluetooth mobile phone headset should pair no problem, have you tried that?

If you select community within GT Life, scroll down your friends that are online (green dot next to gamer pic) then press X to highlight their name etc. Once highlighted go to the bottom where the CUP ICON??? is and if there is a gold mark next to it they are in a lounge and you can join. I have noticed some times its worth trying to join even if the gold symbol isn't showing, you will get a screen (black) open showing who is in that lounge and asking if you want to join. If the black screen is empty there is no lounge open.

I think as announced some of the online experience is limited at the moment due to demand being higher than the developers predicted. This may be why sometimes your friends are online when you check the PS3 home menu but cant be seen as online in the community tab within GT5.

Sometimes I reboot and they show up....strange!

Any problems mate send messages via chat room and we'll get you in.

Wow great turn out last night, I need to try and remove this stupid grin off my face. Some great battles with basher on the 2nd autumn ring race, the replay is fantastic.
I managed to get my wheel out today and I posted a clean 1:04.8xx on Tsukuba with Racing Mediums. There is some hope for me after all.

The new social group is up G.B.R.C we need to open some topics there concerning the most topical issues, Headsets, server issues etc.

It was only a little edge to start with. So easy to lose if you put it down somewhere and forget where you put it.

The 1:04.6?? was gained whilst I was in front. 👍

A sub 1:04 is possible in my opinion, but not from the likes of me.

As a test I recorded 6:12 mins of the UK Mature Racers at the Nurburgring in Minis. Sorry if I did not get everyone as I was playing with setups.
