I think, as many of you do, that this is epic news. I too was a bit dismayed by the 200 premium cars issue... but yesterday i booted up GT5P and had a realization. All i ever really drove (once i completed the game) was the Ferrari F40. It's a gorgeous car, and one of the more challenging cars available in the game. If GT5 give me another 10 'premium' cars like the F40... thats more than enough.
Furthermore, the fact that it now seems the time PD would have spent making all the cars 'premium' was spent implementing day/nice cycle, weather, and an ef'n track editor!!!!!!!!
WOW. Talk about their slogan, Play - Create - Share. Imagine the possibilities. There will be a huge GT5 community... in a years time i wouldn't be surprised if most major race tracks were reproduced in the editor by dedicated GT fans. Sure, quality will vary, but there will certainly be gems that emerge.
For people cracking on go-karts... you obviously know little of racing. 95% of professional racers started their careers as kids behind the wheel of karts. If you've never had the pleasure... find a weekend to hit a track in a real kart... its a hell of thing doing 60 miles per hour with your ass 2 inches off the tarmac.
This news is EPIC!!!
