This car makes me think i can do things i can't.

But I'm soo glad everyone is enjoying the series soo far.

Driving a Miata on a race track in real life does that to you also. Lol. In a Spec Miata I drove around Hallett I felt like I was just a god of driving! That is because you use very little brake and you are on the throttle almost ALL the time. Plus the cars handle so well and they just grip for days, especially on Hoosiers.

This right here is how it is for a lot of drivers(myself included). I always instructed students to use the games to learn proper race craft and to train your visual and audio senses. They can also help with your reflexes which is why its good to use the wheel and pedals as they help with your muscle memory aligning with your reflexes. The bottom line though is that getting out there and driving in real life is the best way to learn it all because there are so many more senses you have to learn and train. Like how a car feels through the steering wheel and seat.

I always feel like I should be faster in the game also but I find that without the sensation of feeling the car I have had trouble with getting that little bit extra out of racing in games.

The games have helped me to be smooth in real life. I guess knowing I don’t have to pay for and or beat out that fender makes me push a little harder at times in the sim’s hahaha.

YOU GOT THAT RIGHT!!!! Lol I hate having to do body work. ESPECIALLY when I am the one that fked it up.

edit: Funny story. I have a friend who usually helps me fix stuff and prep for when I had money and time to go to the track. I was out on track and came in hot on a turn and saved it by spinning myself out but I ended up slowly backing into a tire barrier which caused some damage on the rear quarter. After the session I came in and my buddy was waiting for me and said "I saw everything, that was a good save. But you are fixing that damage a$$hat."

We had just repaired the other rear quarter from a love tap in a previous race. LOL

I would also like to add my thanks to all involved in last night’s racing. I’m not used to being caught that much and I’ll do a better job, in the future, as the league’s ‘moving pylon’. I was impressed by the amount of respect that was paid to all drivers, and especially to me. I hope to race against you all soon.

CONFIRMATION IS NOW OPEN FOR WEEK 3. SIGN UP BEFORE THE DEADLINE, WHICH IS WEDNESDAY 12/11/19 AT 8:30PM.
