Messenger Service pop ups?

I cant belive it, I actually got one of these stupid popups yesterday. While I was using Blubster, heh maybe I should use a firewall at home......................nahhh I dont use the internet enough to warrant purchase of one :P

I've just been in or close to the industry for a while, and security has been something I've been working on for a bit. I'm our company's virus expert, and I've also been doing some work on tightening up the filters on our firewall in the office.

I had some success on this issue blocking port 1900, which may help, although it does seem that the messenger service can use more than one port, so this may not work for you.

could be interesting, because you can send an alert from any web page. The thing is that such alerts usually have "Internet Explorer" in the title bar so as to indicate their origin. I wonder if the developers have found a way around that...
