Yep. In fact, I long ago thought (when I finished MGS3) Eva is behind most everything. Eva and Big Boss reunite in early '71 and she becomes the... you don't want me to possibly spoil the game for you, do you?
I think I've got an idea where this is going.
Finally, seen it all. Brilliant! It really is as good as I thought it would be (the quality of the vid is pretty good too). There's so much detail, such as the scope on the P90 - you could actually see the magnification through the scope. You can see shadows ON the smoke.
The sound is very involving, from explosions and aircraft to animal sounds and the snoring of knocked out guards. It's a nice dynamic environment too with the dust blowing around (if this is in uncompressed 7.1 I will have to get that new A/V receiver I keep promising myself).
I don't mind the animations. Generally many are new (particularly Snakes) but even the familiar ones I'm happy with because it's familiar (as if MGS isn't MGS without them).
So 60fps and full screen AA? I can't see how anyone can't be impressed by the graphics. What I like about it is that it isn't full of shiny surfaces and bloom (the most overused next-gen effect). Some people confuse special effects for good graphics. If that were true of films then the Star Wars prequel movies would be regarded as the best films ever (maybe a few deluded fans think so). People will compare this to Gears of War (which is an inaccurate comparison anyway). But what I prefer about MGS4 is that it looks dynamic and alive as opposed to Gears walk to point A, shoot, kill, walk to point B repeat etc.
Anyway, no need for comparisons. MGS4 looks brilliant and it's only going to get better (as in the levels we haven't seen yet).
So, who will be the bosses to beat in this game? There's usually a collection of freaks etc to despatch. There's Vamp and Lquid/Ocelot but who else? Eva, I assume. And I wonder what's with Naomi siding with Liquid?
I am eager for this game. And it looks like it will deliver in spades.
