I cant speak for the resort in question, but lots of places have off piste areas where skiing is alowed and encouraged. Yes, it is more dangerous bit certainly not always against the rules.They don't when skiiers respect the boundaries. Accidents happen within boundaries as well, but going outside them is simply asking for trouble. And ultimately you'll have to pay a price for foolishness.
