It's understandable that the VIP trip is only for Europeans, but I hope that like the Honda Trials, everyone can participate and receive the car.

A while ago they also did something similar with Porsche but exclusively for the USA.
The liveries of those cars were very nice (917 Salzburg, 959 Rothmans, 911 pink pig)

I like that this is at Lake Louise (I get that it's because it's sponsored by Michelin's snow tyre).

It means someone outside of the usual leaderboard topping suspects might win and get a trip they might not otherwise have a chance at.

If it was at a tarmac track, there's a good chance it would have been won by one of the esports competitors who didn't qualify this year, and that just seems like a less fun outcome to me than someone getting to go for the first time.

In before one of the actual finalists wins the time trial and gets a VIP trip to an event they've already got backstage passes for.

Restricted to Europe so they don't have to spend much on the flights 🤔.
This also helps them avoid visa problems, which they have had a few problems with at recent events.
They could still offer the TT itself to everyone but only allow certain countries to actually qualify.

Do we know already if that's the case ?

They did the same with USA or Japan only events too. But they should allow anyone to partake, even if winning is possible only for a fraction of the people partaking (like the U17 TT not so long ago)

Fair point. As long as the TT is available to all, far-be-it-from-me to criticize various countries' availability to actually qualify as I am sure there are a lot of factors in deciding that going on behind the scenes.

Admittedly I made a presumption that only those who could qualify would be able to partake in the event itself. PD have done that before as well. Guess we'll see.

It is public knowledge that the best in GT rally are the Japanese, then the Americans, Australia, and only then does Europeans appear. This TT will show how many Europeans actually enjoy rally in the game. Good luck everyone. 1.38,*** is the goal to win the ticket to GTWS final.

We had Lake Louse TT once before with Yaris and here is leaderboard of first 30 with country of origin. I can see 4 Europeans and 6 JP in first 10, and many other Europeans among top 30 drivers. Not a single Australian in first 30. Good luck you too, I guess you tried to practice already if you know that 1.38 will be needed :)

The TT starts tomorrow, isn't it ?
Yes it does, but I guess it is possible to pick the car in game now already without michelin liveries, and snow tires and Lake Louise long track and go do own Time Trial, I would guess default setup of car should be close if not exactly where BOP is going to put it? Right ?

oh yes you're probably right, I have friends here who will train for upcoming TT using the "same" combo before the TT is available, but as I never do that, it did not come to my mind

Snow rally events in GT are so rare that it makes you forget who are the best drivers.. TsuTsu I remember being very active in GT sport. If he appears again he is a serious candidate for victory. I reviewed the list for this event and at least 4 good Japanese pilots are not there because they didn't participate, as well as an Australian, among others certainly. A small change to Top one, 1.37, or 36 if an alien appears.
