Mid-Field Raceway Lap Times For 716 Cars!

Basically, this combo is the same that last year's final round, except the car accelerates faster and has more aero. Which means you have to slide a bit to enter corners. I see how this combo could be a pain with a controller, though you might get yourself out of trouble by throwing in 3rd gear right after you began to spin the rear wheels in 2nd.

Despite having 25 fewer horses and 24 ft-lbs less than the Honda, along with carrying a nearly 500 lb weight disadvantage, the Prius manages to be faster overall. CVT, while being a horribly annoying transmission, puts the power down much better than a manual gearbox.
 
The problem with the CR-Z is also it loses all it's electric charge very, very quickly. Two laps on Trial Mountain were enough to have the electric engine completely gone, so I imagine it to be even worse on Midfield.

Yeah with any of the hybrids/EV's I can only do 1 lap and then I have to restart or risk losing power by the end of lap 2.

SiR S Spec weighs 40 kg less than the Type S, but lacks the ATTS (Active Torque Transfer System.)

The old '91 puts up a good fight, being only 3 tenths behind by the finish line.

The Leaf is 3 tenths of a second faster than the Scion xB (Toyota bB)

What makes the Leaf pretty awesome is its torque: 207 ft-lbs @ 1,000 rpm.

And the Subaru Legacy wagon just destroys the Legnum, by nearly 3 whole seconds.

The Subie has 6 more horses, 8 fewer ft-lbs of torque, and weighs 120 kg less than the Mitsu. The Legacy reaches 131 mph versus 124 mph in the Legnum. The GT-B is an absolute beast of a wagon. Even the Nissan Stagea's don't have a chance against it, but they are quicker than the Legnum.

The ST165 is a real disappointment, as it's really no faster than the FF version thanks to being so much heavier. The '91 ST183 is another loser. I'm impressed with the naturally aspirated '99. It's faster than every Celica besides the last GT-Four.

The Celica T23 has a great chassis. A close friend owns one since 2004. VVT-i engine though, but comes with the exact same chassis specs and gearbox found on the TS (US versions only have a 5 speed gearbox I think). He bought it new with OEM shorter springs. I think with a bit of stiffening, anti-roll bars, a LSD and getting rid of sound deadening, it could cause serious troubles to an Integra Type-R (yeah, I just described the TRD version).

Having driven it a whole weekend, I can say it feels spot on ingame. You probably noticed the turn-in has quite a particular sharp feel compared to others FF in the game : it's just like that in real life too. And to add up, it's freaking reliable : the one I drove currently has 280.000+km (175.000 miles), with his daily commute to work is 30km of winding mountain roads (and his week ends being following me through surprise dirt roads or getting sent rocks in the face while I cut corners). It still looks and feels like it's new. Engine and transmission are still original and working perfectly.
 
In the USA, the T23 had a 5 speed with the 1ZZ engine, and a 6 speed with the 2ZZ, with only 180 hp, not the 189 hp available in other parts of the world. It does have sharp turn-in advantage over the Integra. With about 200 hp and the upgrades you mentioned, a battle with the '99 Integra Type R would be a fairer fight. I still have to test the TRD version...I suppose that will be my next victim. I've always liked Celicas, and I owned a ST162 coupe for a little while. Fun little car.

I'm jealous of that winding mountain road. So very jealous. There's nothing like that here in the USA, at least nowhere near where I'm at...
 
Ha, how much I love living in the Alps for these roads... I used to live at the very bottom of the one shown in the video for several years. Before getting my license, friends used to give me a call an hour before getting around there, so I could walk to the top with my camera and take pictures. In the process, I took pictures of the road surface in every corner to study it :lol:
 
I have roads like that where I live in the US....only thing that would even remotely make me think about wanting a license...by far too many people who can't drive make me not want them... I've seen 5 wrecks in the past week lol.
 
Truth be told, I like cars more in Gran Turismo than in real life. I ride my bicycle more than I drive. I'm even considering selling my MX-5 for a 300cc sport bike.

I live in suburban New Jersey. Nothing but straight roads, distracted drivers, and horrible traffic.
 
I ride a 21-speed mountain bike everywhere I need to go within a 10 mile radius...well if I don't black out before then...at least that usually only happens at home lol.
 
Yeah, I can see how cars could be boring being only surrounded by straights. I couldn't live in an area like that^^

The Mustang Mach 1 has a top speed of 114 mph and goes down to 108 if you hit the limiter. I can't test this car with a DS3. Way to go, Ford. I can do 1:26 but I hit the limiter a few times.
