You mean while he was distracted ....
Yeah, while I was taking this picture pic.png:drool:.

Or you could just, you know... just..um...tune a couple of them? (might save some time)

I already have them built, just need to install parts used on this shootout and reset the specs ( weight and gearing ) to fit the regs. I ran the Viper SRT T/A ( GTS '13 ) at Midfield Reverse, the real car spring ratio ( the real front spring rate is too low ) used was great but it's not as much fun as the F40.

Choices choices choices. @CSLACR you have made it hard to pick one!
Aston, Ferrari, Audi, all are good and fast. but the question is do I go a tad loose to get it faster or a tad tight to get it stable and more fun for more people....
Your not wrong. I have five cars on my final short list. Each has a different positive attribute and I can't decide which to finalise. I have a feeling this competition is going to be close when testing begins.

:grumpy: Cant choose which car :banghead: Both the Countach and F40 can lap 1:10s on 1st lap with ease + 1 tenth separate both cars ( low 22s 1st sector and 44s last sector ), and still more time to find ( bridge - tunnel entry and exit ) The F40 is the opposite of Countach, whereas the Countach planted to the ground like heavy weight formula car, choose the line early and stick to it like on rails, the F40 is a dancer on the tarmac, rapid steering, seemingly corners at higher speed than the Countach and it holds the line too :) Both reached 180mph before braking for the 1st corner, and reached 152+mph before the 1st tunnel / bridge.

Good pre-empting by @CSLACR, if the cars had custom trannies then there would be a bunch of grumpy tuners right now
Hope they get it fixed soon!

My shortlist is getting shorter.đź‘Ť I`m down to 3 cars now. 2 green and 1 black. ;)

If anyone`s having trouble seeing the apexs covered in shadows at midfield. Then 25% weather gets rid of the worst of them and 50% gets rid completely. Anyone know if this affects laptimes?

Unfortunately, yes. If you use a car that's had the final gear changed it will reset to the original as soon as you enter a track and hit the road. Did it twice to make sure :ouch:. So when are you guys putting it out for us to admire :mischievous: ?
Not had much time recently so I probably won't post until closer to the deadline

Well that's a lucky dodge ain't it?
I'm expecting a lot of entries closer to the deadline for this one. I'm actually surprised we got 4 already.

So that's what drifters use the breaks for
Now if I can just resolve this mid-high speed understeer I'll have a solid tune for my car....:banghead:
They use breaks for cigarette's and lunch.
Brakes could help induce a drift though. :P

I have my weapon of choice, just need to double check the tune maybe tomorrow. Honestly didn't try too many and the one I really wanted was not as good as I had hoped.
The bowtie's are all totally capable here. ;)

I've been looking into it, and it might. As long as you use the same weather for all your laps, it won't matter.
I'll put something in the OP about it soon. đź‘Ť

Gotta love auto incorrect. And you're the first person to have noticed the typo...

As for weather I made the same rec in the STI vs EVO challenge for willow to clear the glare. I didn't see a lap time reduction in anyway. I didn't notice any need to change the tune for a slicker surface either. Something else I did was change the time to high noon to raise the ambient temperature to recover any lost track temp due to the clouds.
@brian wolf see above.

I would prefer to see some numbers if I'm honest, just to be sure. The mechanics for passive change due to conditions are in game and will have an effect, how much of an effect I don't know but if you have a car that is on the grip limit during perfect conditions and there is even a 5% grip reduction then it could quickly go from "barely contained fury" to "eventually I stopped spinning and then it caught fire".

Very very true sir. I'm not consistent enough at Midfield to do any tests for this.

Yeah stock to have to take some of the turns slower than you really want too.
