Pro level for sure. Tire wear is a lot better on Drift mode if you work to conserve the tires. You cannot be sliding around at all. My lap times reflect this though. A lot of 1'18s instead of 1'15s. In race mode the front tires on the Silvia are just about gone on lap four. In drift the car glides through the corners a little better as the rear slip angle is higher. Takes the load off the fronts, but you still have to be careful. The bad part is the hair pin before the front straight, its very easy to turn the car around there as the rear is definitely loose under hard acceleration. Lots of opposite lock and carefull throttle management to keep the car out of the dirt on the outside of the tunnel. By the last lap the lap times are hard to get under 1'20. I couldn't get any faster by then.

By your guys qualifying times, you should be about 3 secs a lap better than me. It should more than make up for your pit stop.

You can do it, your last two laps you will probably have red fronts :fire: and Orange rears. But the Silvia can do a 10 lap without pitting on drift mode. It says in the GT3 manual that drift is more realistic than racing mode, hence I think the downforce isn't as great and the tires don't wear as quick. Given the fact you take it easy, I tried it and kept sliding on a couple of corners and that just cooks the tires. So for me nothing gained by running drift.

I was making it to lap 5 on racing before pitting in, and lap 7 or 8'ish before having to pit in on drift mode.

My best has been a total race time of ?????????on race mode. My lap times were ?????????????except for pit in/pit out. I'm gonna try drift mode again tonight and see if I can't preserve my tires a bit more.

Sorry 'bout that.

Mmm... i shall give drift mode a try, never tried it before should be fun, thanks guy's :D

o oh looks like someone didn't see your post talentless

i didn't quote it so you should maybe delete it ;)

the point was to have the times remain secret so that someone that was slower would not just cut off a bit of time to finish higher.

I am afraid that if your time matches what was sent to me, I will need a new time.

Speak with Zero about the matter.

I haven't sent my times in yet. I'm afraid I wont' be much of a threat. And yeah, if I'm all of a sudden 1st in total race time then I would probably be cheating. I'm talking about trying to save a sec. or two for the whole race. I will not post any times again.:tapedshut
Looking at my qual. time, I'm a bit of a joke :D especially in the Silvia :P. I'm not gonna "KNOCK bit off the top" if you know what I mean. If I was gonna do that I would have done it on the qual. time regardless if I saw the times or not.

Sorry ZeroCool, wasn't trying to get anything started. :embarrassed:

U dont have to post pics, but I have a history and i am going to post pics on the blue link site

yeah, i remember that (you being banned) I never did find out what that was about. Are you willing to tell me cause im really nosy ;) ?

About the lack of qual. time - that's fair enough - its better if you can stick solidly to the rules all the way. I congratulate you for doing that. :) I just didnt log on at all on tuesday or wednesday.

I havent even driven the cars at all - i just remebered that the toyota was the fastest...

see you next race and good luck :D

Allright man good luck in the TORC!

Good race everyone, using the drift mode was better for that race, but for the next S-garage races I will make it mandatory to do a pitstop, its the only fair way for the ones using the racing mode and having to pit. If you using drift mode from now one you have to pit at least once, its the only fair way for the series.

Good run Jayjitsu, if i would have taken my racing mode time it would have been a 13'07 and u would have won, good race everyone, til the next round.

Yo Zerocool thats an awesome time you got there  i thought my run was good with all them 1'16's in it , but you sure was flyin on that one! well done getting all them 1'15's, i sure will try a bit harder on the next one i'm happy with 2nd though :D

Thanks lotus, your run was also good, those 1'15's were hard to get on drift mode, i had to get to the 2nd spilt at a certain time to get them, low 45's i think, then i had to stay cool during the tunnel turn.

Congrats on the win ZeroCool. Good race man, I can't touch those lap times (especially in the Silvia). :D

That drift mode works good to save your tires, huh? I agree though that there ought to be a mandatory pit stop. It's more like a race when you have to pit.

I'm eager to start practicing for the next round, I am definitely taking the better car. :P

Midfield I is the track the cars are:
Panoz GT1
Viper GTS-R
Vette C5R
Gillet Vertigo

Qualifying-Arcade Mode Free run on Midfield using either of the 4 cars.

Race-Arcade Mode Single Race Professional difficulty (10 laps)

Rules are the same as usual.

I was tempted to try drift mode, but didn't have the time...

Well if it wasnt for KC and barry and lotus for telling me to use drift u prolly would have won, that is if lotus didnt use drift, i doubt people will be able to use drift with the next set of cars :fdevil:

Yeah its another 10lapper.

I'll use the Viper GTS-R Team Oreca. Me and Lotus have a rivalry, but when Lotus does beat me I want it to be down to the driver and not the car, so I will choose whatever car Lotus does, so we can see who the better driver is.

i tried this out. my best is 1:06.647, probably slower than what zero can get. used the vette

Good call mr p, its the Viper Team Oreca GTS-R, concept car is too slow for this race.

Oh and I will be changing cars since the Mopar muscle eat up the Belgian Waffle last night.
