Thanks all 👍

Very fast lap from you too, Hekke! I think you'll force me to get back into the Jag again next week...

I did some laps in the RX7 too and that thing is fast  With 320 gearing I got so far: 18.368 / 36.255 / 58.769

With both the Jag and the RX7 we can get into the 58.5 eventually :sly:

And Erik, did you make some progress already in the last section?

I ran some more laps in the Jag but can't seem to match the blistering pace you guys have

Jaguar XJ220 LM - 18.309 / 36.320 = 58.973 :grumpy: ( I think the brake and accel at the same time is coming into play again here at the final tunnel and I cant do that on the DS2 unlike the ease of the wheel :ouch: )

Everything is Updated in here 👍 Sweet laps guys

Think I did quite a bit better there in the jag :) Thanks for the tips 👍 I'll have to see if it will pay of with the falcon and the motul, I'm sitting oh soo close to sub minutes on those two

Those 58.xxx's you guys are running, well stunning to say the least.

Thanks for the race as always tons of fun Ron 👍

Hey, Hugo ... I´m afraid you´ve got the "wrong" replay attached here :)
It´s the RX7 and not the XJ220
Love your choice of colour though

Oh... great time btw. 👍

And Ron... Need you up here, please :)
(And thanks for the updates 👍)

You too, Erik

Doh!! .... :ouch: I have been running the Jag on 340 autoset

15 mins on 330 and its so much better ... 18.265 / 36.258 - 58.827 👍

Going back for more :sly: ... will update later ;)

Thank both of you for the posts and the replays.

I will download and "study" them later this evening. I do suspect however that as much as I study I may suffer from that old golfers illness known as "LOFT"

def: Lack Of F Talent, at least for now it will give me a visual to work on if not the testicular diameter to try running the way you guys do. :nervous:

Ron I'm still in your rearview and not ready to blink my lights yet but, I am working on it. If I'm correct in a real race you'd pass me in 9 1/2 laps. Now that's depressing. :yuck:

Considering you are new to OLR and I have been racing OLR since 2001 I'd say thats damn good going 👍 ... give it another month or 2 hotlapping and WRS and you'll have closed the gap dramatically and thats without a doubt .. keep at it mate you are going great!

gtbadboy... I´d assume that it´s Hugo´s replay you´d like to see :)
So would I 👍
Hope my replay will guide you in the right direction :)

Now, you´re lucky being Div.3 ... I have yet to be a classified :ouch:

I doubt you'll be in Div. III with times like you've posted here but the Qual Race is a different animal.

Ron, You're too kind but thanks for the encouragment. 👍

Well... whatta you know.
Times are tumbling all over the board left, right and center :) 👍
Got a bit lucky and managed:

Jaguar XJ220 LM Race Car '01
(R5):
18.249 // 36.236 // 58.674

Back to yous, Ron and Hugo :)

Like Ron said, gtbadboy... you´ll be up there before you know it... just hang in there

I'm sorry! I transferred both replays in a hurry and made a mistake with renaming them :ouch: Will upload it next week, won't be back home earlier...

Great runs from you and Ron 👍 Next week I'll give it one more shot hoping to stay on top from then on :sly:

And gtbadboy, I can't even remember how far I was behind when I started racing. The time will decrease the distance ;)

I'm still stock with the Jag at 59.2**!
i just hotlapped for like 35 mins around midflief with the jag, but the fastest i could get was 59.4***.
T1 is 18.3***, and i actually know where i loose the missing tenth. Its the long lefthander after the first tunnel.I still have to find the right entrance-breakpoint-acceleration point.
My T2 is 36.5***.

Hey, I'm new here but not so new to GT4 online racing. I must say, i'm trying to get back into GT4 and stumbling upon this board might just do just that. I don't have the ability to upload replays but thought I would try this out and post some times in the near future.

Right now I am sitting at 1'00.2xx and still working on it in the RX-7. Not bad after all my time off. I'll make an official time post before the deadline and under 1'00 for sure, hehe.

I just hit a 37.1xx second split time but blew it on the critical turn following. That would've put me around a '59.7xx if i couldve just finished as usual. My respect to those running in the low 59's,

Better I share some replays now.
Needed some spare space on the card.:)

Well, the rookie has done his best. I do remember when 1'08 was my best time and that wasn't so long ago.

Sorry about that! it was the JAG:dunce:
T1- 19.315

T2- 38.610

FT- 1'03.064

I do hope I've uploaded the correct file.

Will update your latest time to the leaderboard when I know what car it is gtbadboy 👍

Thanks to all who took part in this Midfield Challenge and Congrats to the fastest guy on the track Hekke and all others who took part 👍 I hope you enjoyed and hopefully see you all at the next track which will be posted in around 9 hours time when I get out of bed :sly:

Cheers
Ron.

Congrats to Hekke indeed, well done mate 👍

Ron, Hugo, and the lot, some super fast times, and as always a great joy to race with you all :)

Looking foward to the next track Ron and I'm glad you did not scrap this challange.

BTW I dl'd gtbadboys last replay as I'm curious as to how he is getting on.

Erik

Okay! I think I've gotten it now. Remembered the little tool Sphinx put together...........:dunce: I'm better with things like: hammers, nails, saws, and flyrods this stuff is just too new for me.

In any event, congrats to all those great times out there. Makes me want to go fishing eh? Well, I'll just keep plugging away slammin' gears and keeping it off the grass. :nervous:

I just watched your replay Ron B. That's some smooth driving mate 👍

You lose a ton of time with your line into the hairpin(last tunnel) the rest of your lines are spot on. Just get a bit more aggressive, brake harder and commit to the corners, don't feather it around, always remember corner exit speed is of utmost importance.

Hope to see you at the high speed ring.

Erik

Congrats to all who took part, oldtimers, rookies, podium finishers.. the lot 👍
Exciting and competetive racing all through the rankings

appreciate the critique Erik, truly. I find myself driving like I'm out for a Sunday afternoon spin sometimes. I suspect my lack of concentration is the culprit.
I learned much watching the replay you provided but never did feel comfortable at the aforementioned "hairpin." I never did find that "magic" breakpoint. I was either, way too slow or found myself kissing the green mat!

In any event it's off to the high speed ring and adding to my experiance level as well as confindence levels. Thanks to all for their encouragement and suggestions. At least for the time being as long as I'm around there will be some one in your rear view mirror eh?

Congratulations once again to all those great drivers out there and the spectacular times turned in. 👍 👍

Almost forgot. Thanks to "sjaak" for putting me on to a manual tranny. It has made life more interesting for sure.
