Midnight Racing Club - GT500 Season 2: Rd.10 Nürburgring 24H 23rd Dec

What's a wsp neal ?

The 2 stop strategy can work for Gprilli , the problem in the last race is he got held up by me and Soopa for the first 8 laps I think .

I think I will go for the 2 stop again unless for some magical reason my tire wear is wonderful , all depends on how the first 8 laps are, getting caught in a battle or traffic really costs you so much time .

I remember last race I could see Garage and Montal while battling with Soopa and Gprilli , 2 laps later they dissapeared

Wouldn't a harder / stiffer suspension help you here ? Rather than making it softer , just a suggesion.

Few parts of GVS are bumpy, and sent me and phil sliding a little.

I'm having problems with that hairpin after the high speed s section in the 1st sector . Have to be real light on the throttle

I'm pretty solid on this track and will definetely be competing for the front row come qualifying , I buckled under the pressure in nurburg gp qualy .

I use a desk when I'm playing with my PC monitor and I use a TV table Tray when I play in the living room. The TV tray is stable enough to drive a Super GT car and under. Also I can't drift with the TV tray. My desk is much more stable I race with that more often now.

me too I'm using a computer desk to play (from IKEA :)), my PS3 and my PC are both connected to a 27" widescreen monitor and I can switch between them.

My wheel is the Thrustmaster T500RS with the Ferrari F1 wheel add-on (my precious :dopey:) and for audio I use the Tritton AX Pro headset ;)

I Tried looking for things are the house first like step ladders or a book case. Then I found the TV tray which was wide enough to hold my wheel and shifter.

I want to build my own cockpit in the future but for now the table is decent. Also check our Wheels and Sim rig forum. There lots of random but stable alternatives for a wheel stand.

I had a friend use an ironing board, it buckled under the strain, I found an old coffee table which was just the right height for me. I have a design for something similar to a wheel stand pro but with more adjustability, will get around to buying the parts and welding it together some day, I can build 3 for a 1/3 the price of a wheel stand pro and may just do that and sell the other 2 to cover my costs :)

I'm going to do a similar build once I find a way to get ahold of some tools a welding torch etc... I'm online now btw if anyone is up for practice.

This is a little late but just got back home I'm not online right now but practice is shading some light on the Lexus's shortcomings. Had a best lap of 1:43.476 my best sector is 2 every where else I'm slow due to the lacking top end for this car. Overall I'm going to need to work more to get this win. Also my wear great here looking like another one stopper. So this what I found from today's practice I may be online tomorrow but I will be practicing for Spec Miata because I get my DLC then.

It seems I'm not able to stay connected when races start, so I'll withdraw myself from this series so a reserve can race (the petronas sc430) full time

Spec Miata ?

Did some more running after you left ran a 53 324 , finally matched your 2nd and 3rd sector . I'm quicker in the 1st sector and I have about .200 more I can get out of the car.

A perfect lap will be in the 53.0xx , I still don't see any 52's happening but who knows .

My tire wear is a bit worse here than in the previous 2 races , especially when running those mid 53 times , ill adjust my strategy during the race but being realistic it looks like my regular 2 stop.

Just look up the Flying Miata Super Cup. Hosted by North America GT academy finalist R1600Turbo. Thus season going to be crazy with the new DLC cars.

Also I don't expect pole unless there is a lucky chance I hit a good lap. Tho hopefully my pit strategy is enough to win again.

My tires start going by lap 6 and by lap 10 I'm about 2-3 seconds off my regular pace , definetely gonna be a 2 stopper unless I can pull out a miracle.

I made some camber adjustments for better tire wear changing it from 1.8 to 1.6 and lost about . 300 in my fasttimes , I moved it back to 1.8 needless to say.

With 33 laps though a 2 stop strategy might be the best and surely safest bet

Gotta practice lounge open if anyone wants t join me?

Ill be on later Neal , around 4 pm and the usual evening practice 6 - 10 pm

Hope we have some others join us and we can run a few practice races

Guys have i chosen a ****** car? Or is there something wrong it's settings? Im just running laps now and in the motul it's lap times are high 46's, But i also ran some laps in the Calsonic with a Stanard tune, and ran a high 45, the calsonic seems tighter and quicker. HELP!

It's the way you drive it,some driver prefrence, some becuase different cars excel at different tracks.
And Soopa have you tuned the NSX?Havent really touched it for a long time.

Just got home , soaked in the rain and the dlc is still not available for USA people yet , hopefully it will be ready later on in the day .

Ill post later when i open the lounge and ill try to help you with your setup Neal , ill give you my calsonic setup and we see if that helps

I'm gona. Put the setup from the standard calsonic setup onto the motion c if that works then ill try ur's skengd. Also I've noticed that the motul is 30 kg heavier than the calsonic, anything i can do about that?
