You basically copy your GT5 save game to usb, load the game and send the car to your friend, then copy your save game from the usb back to the ps3, it's as if the trade never happened except your friend also has the car now
It may not work with the Stealth as suggested by gprili, try sending me your McLaren F1 to see if it works, I love that car anyway

I just had a look at some other threads and can see others have said you can't trade stealth, you can buy a code for all 6 stealth models for a bargain price of £40 on ebay though!!! I could buy another game for that money, no way those cars are worth that much....

How do you actually get these cars then.
I got the mclaren as a pre order gift and I got the nsx as compensation for the delay on the dlc.
So there are 6 cars in all , I have 2 of them . Ill have to settle with that then .
Ill have a practice lobby open tonight around 8 - 9 30 gmt for trial mountain

Duping seriously undermined the integrity of a lot of guys garages and also keeps me form gifting or trading cars that I have duplicates of. I tried sending a friend a FTO Super TC, which was well under 1,000,000cr and it wouldn't even let me do that. I have like 3 X1 2010s and can't sell them for credits towards other cars I don't have, like the 20,000,000cr Ferrari P330 (I think that is the cars name).
I wish PD had come up with a better way to control duping than limiting car trading and selling. Most dupers were done by the time they did the change. It just serves to limit the legitimate players. I think if they had serialized every car as it was earned or bought, the game could then determine if the same serial number existed twice between two users or the same user. The game would know that the car was a dupe and could delete every car under that serial number so dupers would not only lose the dupe but the original as well. They would think twice about doing it again.
Maybe GT6 will implement a fix such as this.

So, a European bought the collectors edition, never redeemed the bonus car pack that came with the European collectors edition (stealth models) and then the person put the code up on Ebay for sale for 30 euros? I guess there are still capitalists in Europe. I thought they had all been banished
Didn't the collectors edition cost about 30 euros more than just the game disc? Us Yanks got the chromeline cars as a promo DLC for buying the collectors edition. Since I never use any of them, I should have tried the same thing.

I just looked and it did say it was for North America. Not sure how you can get around that. You might have to sign up for a USA or Canada PSN account if it will let you. I have heard of guys from USA signing up for Asian accounts to take advantage of their promotions but I am not sure how it works.

Just to confirm, the stealth cars are untradable.
And the garage-father the 1 million limit isn't bang on 1 million it works out at about 950k. Therefore the FTO Super Touring (valued 1 million) is untradable unfortunately.
Regarding this race, I can get a decent lap at 1.18/19 but will in the 20s throughout the race no doubt.

I bought it in the UCD for somewhere around 950,000cr. I was surprised when it wouldn't let me gift it to a friend. Now I have 2.
I am not sure how to either. Maybe if you gift the gift car ticket before you activate it and receive the car into your garage. Just a guess. Maybe there is no way to do it.
If not, blame dupers.......

Great to hear that, although my chance of the 4th place spot just flew out the window, I'm not sure I can make 3rd December anyway to be honest I've got pub golf that night
