Midnight Racing Club - GT500 Season 2: Rd.10 Nürburgring 24H 23rd Dec

After a short practice my best is still a 2 10 5xx

me too I struggled 2 hours today but my time is always 2.10.6xx ...

just for fun I took the Takata Dome and with the almost default setup (I changed only the LSD and the Gear Ratios) I did 2.10.1xx ... so I realized that for the "slow" NISMO Z I cannot do anything more

Hopefully with draft we can keep up with the nsx's here .

I don't think I can do a 1 stop here either

was about time 👍

Wonder how qualifying will go ?

Soopa sounds like he can get front row here I'm just hoping to be in the top 4 and hopefully someone will pass Immortal on lap 1 , can't afford for him to get away this race.

I'm dead this round. I don't have spa to practice on and was too busy organising my league to find a way to practice. Hopefully I won't make too many mistakes tomorrow!
Fingers crossed!

Well I had 2 setups, one was fast with low to mid 1:10's, the other which was better on tyres was more low to mid 1:11's, I haven't done any more practise since Tuesday so to be honest I'll just be happy to not race alone :)

Going for an aggressive setup tonight and going to be fighting hard , need some luck on my side to finish in front of Immortal .

Let's hope the racing gods will bless me .

Gprilli we need to form an alliance to beat Immortal , its our only chance to win the championship.

I wish Montal would come back and take some points off him .

Good luck SkengD, you deserve a championship podium finish with all the practise you put in, if I'm up there with you I'll try and give you some slipstream assistance 👍

I don't think Montal would've helped your cause any though, he was leading the championship before he left, leaving you with a fight with gprili for 3rd place...

Bloody ****ing hell it went of of the lounge of the last moment at race start, when I was adjusting the pedals the accelerator got caught under the table leg and ****.
So ****ing livid, waited all week. And that ****ing brake pedal sticking the whole way was also ****ed up crap.****!
**** of all the bad bloody ****ing luck **** this week,****!:grumpy:

Phil u are not alone, I have been signed out if psn 1 too many times, not only on gt5 but on other games too, its fookin frustrating. Thinkin of goin Xbox.

I will test it when my friend gets a wheel,if it feels good then yeah I would like to go that route.
V8supercar racing and more comprehensive customisation, etc, etc is very tempting.
Just a case of f**ing bad luck today.

I have been signed out if psn at least 15 times this week, on multiple games, mw3, bf3, gt5, even black ops. I dnt know wats goin on, but I'm really considering goin for forza

you must open ports in the router then its ok i have had also problems but when you open ports in your router you dont have more problems

I'm not too disappointed finishing 8th.

But, after the first corner I hit SkengD after he got taken out and that put me right off the rest of the field.

Then, when I was behind SkengD on lap 5 he spun out and I clipped him and spun out myself.

So I got some bad luck as well as SkengD but that's racing.

Onto Monza it is..

Were you going to go for a one-stop?
Gahh. Could've had a few battles with you if I hadn't made those mistakes.

Soopa, I don't mean t sound like a dick, but it can't be my connection, I have the best connection virgin have to offer, I think it's 50 meg, I pay a little over 75 pound a month for my tv and internet. I am by no means an expert, but I Do know that virgin have the best internet because they dont have to use a switch board. So I am confident that it ain't my connection.

Congrats Immortal , once you opened the gap you were long gone . 4 race wins now for you I believe , you are unstoppable.

What bad luck for me !!! after qualifying 2nd and I had a good launch , I would have given immortal a fight just like gprilli , would have been interesting . I will be extra motivated next season at Spa.

Monza next week , hope to have a better result

Well since I work for another large telecoms firm I'd have to disagree with you there :P

But seriously though when I say connection I mean its something other than the PS3/PSN that's causing the problem, I don't want you to go wasting your money on an xbox that's just gonna gather dust like mine does, as IMMORTAL suggested you need to open the ports on your router to get the best gaming experience on any console. There's a link in the bottom of the OP that will help you if you need it ;)

Nah I was going for 2 stops but ended up doing 3. After 6 laps things hadn't gone well hitting SkengD twice and my tyres wern't in good condition so I changed to a 3 stopper to try and get 8th which worked out in the end.

It worked alright. I was gonna get back 8th after that spin but it just all went downhill from that. :dopey:

Congrats to IMMORTAL, superb drive again, looked like a good battle going on with gprili for a while but I didn't watch all of the replay, it's still close for 2nd & 3rd Championship spot am looking forward to seeing how that plays out with the tracks we have left. I'd say the Calsonic has the advantage next week but the Z will do well at the ring, exciting stuff 👍

Thanks soopa, I will try it tonight, it's really doin my head in. Who Do you work for? Who has the best internet then m8?

Kicking myself after that race. Ran wide at the right hander before blanchemont and the car clipped the wall and spun out costing me about 25 seconds as well as increased tyre wear. Was looking good for 2nd up until then, 3rd definitely. I then spun out again after being chased by Allascato in the final laps, the pressure was intense as he was gaining 3-4 seconds every lap.

Congrats to IMMORTAL again and also to Gprilli for keeping up with him.

Will definitely be going for a podium in Monza, best real life track in GT5, not much hope in Nurburgring.
