As most of the reasonable folks here I think there will be just the VGTs. Second round of seasonals for second round of VGTs - Mazda and Alpine. (or just the Mazda)

Maybe the mileage sorting fix.
Fair for me tbh, let's hope the new year bring in the goods.

I'd be happy if PD got rid of login bonus and implemented credit bonuses for turning aids off and turning damage/penalties/tire wear on.
In that way I wouldn't have to login everyday and that would encourage players to get better at the game.
But PD would rather have you to login everyday :sly:

Anyway I like the title "Might get new stuff 12/24/2014", instead of "Maintenance notice 12/24/2014"; it made me genuinely smile Lol

#PDlogic

And well, since we already had an update, the odds of we getting new stuff after this maintenance are sort of slim, so... We "Might get new stuff 12\24\2014".

Why would they secdule matenece on Christmas day if they we're not planing on suprizing us or give us a christmas present.
Maybe because they want to get the maintenance in before new years? I've heard that several days off are taken during that time of the year.

no I'm serious, it actually makes sense for them to have you play the game regularly - it's more likely you end up hooked to the game (captain obvious I know, but you get my point )

Well, you don't have to play the game to get the bonus. Sometimes all people do is turn the PS3 on, get the bonus and then exit the game without playing. Kinda like I do sometimes... And besides, rewarding players with money doesn't really work unless there's a penalty system of some sort. Look at Quick Races, they give extra credits to the winner and look how some turn out (crash fests ahoy!)...

I don't have to play GT6 regularly to keep the 200% bonus. Most of the time I load the game, wait for the login bonus message, save, then go play something else.

But that doesn't really encourage bad driving then, FS. I mean, bad drivers could just start up the game, get the bonus and then leave for other games. Messing around with that won't really influence driver quality, I think. It's better to revamp the penalty system.

I never said login bonus encourages bad driving. I said bonus credits for aids off and sim options on encourages players to improve their skills. Bonus credits for clean laps, clean overtakes & clean races would be nice too.
You should take a look at this thread.

As for quick match lobbies, PD should split them into casual lobbies (all aids allowed, no damage, no penalties) and hardcore lobbies (no SRF, heavy damage, strong penalties, real grip offtrack), with hardcore lobbies having better payouts, and maybe a credit deduction for quitting during the race (in case some idiot wants to enter a hardcore lobby just to cause a pile up on the first corner then leave).

Ok, that idea you gave is actually a really good idea. Choosing different styles of lobbies could in fact improve driving conditions. If you're doing a championship or a serious race, pick the hardcore lobbies. For simple races and cruise lobbies, pick casual ones. Punshing quitters also would work reasonably well if it was to be implemented.

Doesn't matter, it's still a way to keep you in the "GT circle", making sure you come back and check what's new (updates, seasonal events, etc.)
Being a GTplanet member you probably already read every news here first, but not every GT owner does that

Anyway good idea on the penalties for quitters/***holes! Even though they could quickly turn off the PS3 without consequences, I guess.

Trying to get online...but it says "PSN is undergoing maintenance"!!! I'm really mad at this...I'm such a procrastinator!!! :banghead:

Keep in mind that PD has acknowledged that they are fixing the mileage glitch and this maintenance may very well be just that.
