And just because one VGT's seasonal ends on a set date, that doesn't mean another VGT can't come during that period. It's happened before and can happen again.

I wonder if this maintenance has been done by the US studio, not the Japanese.
These times seem ideal for the US; I don't see anyone working on releasing an update at 3AM in Japan

This was the update last year that gave us the Red Bull Ring, TS030, and the Lexus GT car...

...just sayin'.
I know that very well, but on the basis that Kaz said there would be no new tracks for GT6, I think we can throw that out the window and only expect this;
All I can see in this update is;
- The SRT Tomahawk VGT's will be released
- GT Academy will be removed from the "Events" tab
- Nissan GTR-LM NISMO & Zytek LMP2 will become available in the Dealership
- Small Bug Fixes

That's it. Nothing more, nothing less.

Of course you can still hope that something big will happen, but it will only be your own fault when the update is released and you're disappointed that something you, and only you, expected to come out, doesn't come out.

Good thing it's being done between 7-9am in Japan then.

Hmmmm.... I'll buy a ticket for the hype train.

Here you go......

Just because it's in the code, it doesn't mean it's getting added.

Yes, but why would it be added to the code quite recently, if progress was not reaching it's peak?

Everything seems to suggest it's still coming, and probably soon.

...but maybe I'm getting delusional...

Soon is vague. There's also a chance they added some code so they could test it on their devkit before going further with any development on it. Lots of games get coding added through patches, most of which doesn't see public release candidacy.

Its also the only car in the game where the exhausts are sticking out the Hood so chances are there wasn't any part of programming that was expected to take that into consideration.

They also supposedly had to modify the game engine to support the lazers on the Chaparral so i think this wouldn't be any harder ...
