Who knows, maybe they fix that next week. I was also wanting those hood exhaust flames.

They also supposedly had to modify the game engine to support the lazers on the Chaparral so i think this wouldn't be any harder ...

The lasers are a lot easier I would think considering it didn't require parameters like the Exhaust to be modified (Mostly since it has none), only something like perhaps propulsion.

Also, its easy to have the exhaust Fire at the back because not a lot is going apart from the Tail lights braking and the occasional Tire smoke. To have it in the front would likely have a lot of things going on, especially if one were to choose cockpit view.

Difficulty might not come into play at all. I use cockpit view at all times (even in the cars that have no interior, I'm too busy listening to the noises it makes and looking at the track ahead to notice the lack of an interior), and I rather enjoy the GT-R LM--that said, I just plain don't want it to spit flames and make it that much more difficult to see the track between those massive fenders. This may have something to do with it being left out. Moreover, do we know the real thing actually spits flames? (That's a real question, I haven't seen the car in action enough to have witnessed this.)

Here you go......

oh god, this is awesome

Maintainance might be PD's attempt to sort out the tangle of disconnections, server time outs, and rage that is GT Online.

Only lately has it been a lot less crap for me (though it seems that crapiness just par the course when it comes to Quick Match).

What about side exhausts? I have a pic someone posted from GT5 of the IS-F Racing Concept where it shoots out in an insane way. I've always viewed PD's showings of exhaust flames!!! to be pretty cool and realistic LOOKING, but I'm not sure if anyone can really say if the process of coding them, e.g. the parameters, are simple or dynamic. Not a coder here, can't you tell? :D

With the Tomahawk, it seems like it could be proof that they have a "plug-and-set" process to it. Not saying it wasn't obvious before, just that it's even more so now.

There were some days, I haven't been able to connect to servers but generally, I can play online without problems.

It depends on your connection, I guess.

Scheduled maintenance tomorrow:
http://www.gran-turismo.com/us/news/00_3702383.html

Start: 06/25/2015 18:00 EDT
Finish: 06/25/2015 20:00 EDT

Found out about this thanks to @Cjamesdixie02.

There is a chance that this means there may be an updates but it may just be server maintenance.
Are you serious? That's the whole point of this thread. Having already posted in this thread, you might have read the OP, and the title. Here's the OP, in case you didn't read.

@JER_CREST, broke this news a week ago. So welcome to last week. I suggest next time you read the OP, and the title, before trying to break news that is already known.

I did read it (the OP), but I forgot about it when I made the post. I'm just too hyped up about the SRT Tomahawk.

So the maintenance will happen at different times for different regions? :P

31h to go for me. Midday now, it's scheduled for tomorrow at 19:00.

It says tomorrow at 3 pm here (GMT -7)

Really strange time for a maintenance, maybe they'll finally try to fix the servers.

It's the same time for the UK 23:00 BST (GMT+1).

Which is 7AM start Tokyo time. This actually makes more sense to me - they're starting the maintenance first thing in the morning when they get to work in Japan.

Got it. So it's scheduled 7am Tokyo time on Friday, which is Thursday evening in the US.
