Well of course I understand what it is about, but when I was about to replant Adam killed me and he took my saplings too (I had about 5). I was therefore unable to replant and also, it's hard to take out saplings from rubber trees...

Sall OK mate as discussed on MC :)

Can I also get unbanned as I was telling rhys to get out of my mine and doing a OLD nader by telling him to GTFO and I got banned for spamming by typing it 3 times.

Sorry for the hassle

Yep, I'll fix it up.

Also, no nukes... yet.

You can build them and drool over them but untill we get well established, I'd like no big explosions. Maybe one day when we want to crash the server we'll put a few dozen nuclear reactors down and let em roast away...

I hate these stupid log-in/spam chat plugins. I get bugged out, log in, bugged out again, and have to wait before logging in again. I repeat what I say, and have to pray the spam-thing doesn't ban me. :ouch:

I'm going to talk to Dunc once I get all this fricking school work out of the way about disabling some plugins that aren't helping.

People are complaining about the land claim plugin. Fair enough, it has is uses but since Tekkit is by in large a community game, it might have to go for the time being. Same with the spam plugin. I might just tweak the settings so it's not so picky. We really only want it to guard us against bots that come in and spam so much they crash the server. In that case, I'm sure we could expand the message count from 3 to 6 or 7.

Ugh, I liked the land claim plugin. I don't actually have to waste space by putting signs in front of all my chests, not to mention my land is actually protected, I'm sure we can't roll back Tekkit damage, because it's more than just vanilla blocks. And items. And nuclear reactors. I'm not sure I'm the only one benefitting from it, but since I guess some of you don't seem to like it I guess, whatever happens happens..

See these are the issues we run into. Some like it because it benefits them, some dislike it because it's a pain.

If the plugin is nerfed I think I might leave a chest in the middle of town filled with signs so people can easily claim their chests and that. The other thing is, as you said, Tekkit rollbacks. I don't know if our plugin can only roll back Vanilla ID's or if it can adapt to the mods put to it. I'll look into it.

Thing is, mining by hand is, for me, the crucial part of minecraft, and I never claim anything, because I know others may need land under it. Nothing is more infuriating than digging a tunnel, finding a big cave filled with precious ores, you take your pickaxe to the shiny vein of diamonds and 'This land is claimed by xxxx'.

And Skilla, you have an electronic forcefield surrounding your house, so it's not like the front door is wide open and anyone can come in.

EDIT: And thanks for the compensation Skilla. :)

Should we build a Nuclear Reactor in the middle of the village? Would be beneficial with all the contraptions being built.

At first I thought this was a joke, and then I realised it was serious .

That is the best way to get power but my god, that could go wrong on soooo many levels!

Your welcome, I didn't even realize my quarry hit your mine until Tyne told me. Although the electronic field was built only for the front, and as we proved back earlier yesterday my stuff is of high risk.

Smart, yet that'll be very, VERY dangerous. I'd suggest geothermal energy or a massive field of solar panels for power, because MK1's can only do so much, and anything higher than an MK1 reactor will need constant checking, and a simple delay can result in a massive explosion.

Hey could someone help me with this? Would this laptop be able to run minecraft smoothly? If not, would you know any other laptops that could run it for around the same amount of money?

Thanks for any help!
Erm, it'll run Minecraft, but until you learn to tweak it to run it better, and install Optifine, you'll lag. My laptop is a 2ghz Dual with 4G of RAM and integrated graphics, and on a good day I can run at small to normal render distance with an HD texture pack at 20-30 FPS, which is nowhere near optimal, as if I lag spike and lose 15 FPS, it's gonna be near unplayable.

TL;DR: Opt for a better computer with more processor power and a proper graphics card. Integrated graphics suck. And remember that Minecraft won't run on more than one processor core, so you'd be better off with a 4ghz single than a 2ghz dual.

^ Not nessecarily. Either way Optifine would help him and if he installs the multi core version it will take advantage of his 2 - 4 cores.

That comp would run it ok, but like Parkour said a dedicated graphics chip it in would be good. I'll google in the morning and give a suggestion when my eyes aren't falling out of my head.

And no, I don't think we'll have a nuclear power plant in the center of town. If it blows up, everyone's work will be screwed. So no, sorry.

The one he's looking at doesn't appear to have more than one core. Optifine Multi-Threaded allots one core to do just the world loading. It helps, yes, but it's not as helpful as some may think.

Normal Diamond is almost impossible to find in the regular world, always boring old Uranium and Tungsten.

Get your Diamonds from the Nether, they are everywhere down there! :D

Graphics-wise you should be fine, my MacBook Pro has HD 4000 and runs everything on high, standard textures. That said, the HD 4000 gets better performance on Macintosh, due to better drivers, but you'll be able to run it fine.

I did forget about yesterday actually, when (was it Adam?) took your stuff, and threatening to blow your reactor.

I could see it being kind of feasible if it was at bedrock and surrounded by 5 block reinforced stone, or something ridiculous.

I don't see the fuss about Quarrys, I waste so much Coal on them that it isn't worth it in the end. Or is there other ways to power it?

You can use engines, or any generator via a conductive pipe, just as long as you have enough power.

Now it's not co-operating again, do I have to download Technic manually? If so, can someone be so kind and link me to somewhere I can, I found nothing on it's site.
