Although I admit it's better to have people play on the server occasionally than none at all. Whatever keeps the server and Duncan (lalna) happy.

This is correct. It is all Duncan's choice on what he wants to do. Perhaps there could be a vote.
 
Just a heads up: I've not ditched the server and will not. Problems just keep arrising, and I wish I had a better way of keeping you all informed.

Let's just say I've been finally officially diagnosed with depression, and as a result I've nearly lost my best friends, not even to mention the person I'm in love with, so I've been having a really hard time keeping myself together. The last thing I wanted to do was have to deal with griefs and all that sort of stuff. I really hope you guys understand, and I'm really sorry.

I'm starting to pick up a bit, got myself some happy pills and have my friends helping me, so I'll be around soon.

Again I'm sorry for seemingly ditching the server. I havn't, and never will. Just got to jump the hurdles before you can hit the finish line.

Oh dear, I do hope things get better for you. You've been on the server from the start, and because I bailed early due to extensive childishness, I don't blame you at all. That said, there's a picture I feel I should share.

Thanks for the support. I'm not leaving, it's just going to take me a few weeks to get myself together and pick up a bit. Just gotta take it as it comes.
 
Server was fun today. Finished my new quarry system and added an automated rotary maceration system. People were nice, but my initial log in was greeted by some spammer :lol:
 
I wouldn't mind joining (I'm assuming people can still join), my name is the same as here: TheDrummingKING

Guessing I'll have to install tekkit?

Funny guy, indeed. The hundreds of crashes caused by forcefields weren't that nice though.
 
Wait what? The server is now Vanilla, or is it still Tekkit? This is what I get for not going on minecraft for months, I'm always far behind :P
 
Sorting facility's done. Except I have a problem - I use the redpower sorting facility and items get stuck in my second sorter. I have to use my screwdriver to unjam the item, but then it becomes jammed again. Then I tried moving it, it didn't work. I also tried using buffers, it didn't work. No buffer? It jams in the first sorter. Do you guys know a fix for it?

Which mode are you using? Do NOT use the "Allstack" modes.


Take sure that the chests on the other end of the pipes are NOT full, if you're using pneumatic pipes.

I'm using the mode where anything unsorted goes to the white pipe. If you go online I can show you.

I was at work, but is it down there in the south? Where you built that... ehm something? I was there once I think.
 
White screen on login. Dunc can you delete my ghskilla.dat profile in the players folder? And if I may ask can I spawn all my stuff in? I had so much stuff in my inventory...

I'll lose all my /homes, inventory items, etc. so I'll have to find my home again...

Check the latest log (-> techniclauncher folder -> log folder -> log0 file) and tell me if it has TileEntity errors like this:
[20:10:55] [SEVERE] 2012-09-29 20:10:55 [WARNING] Received a TileEntityData packet for a location that did not have a TileEntity: (-1344, 103, -1670) 0: 5, 0, 0

It would be easy to fix in that case.



Btw, I checked your sorting system and it works perfectly. I don't see any problems with it, I guess you fixed it, right?

Yeah you can spawn all that back. The homes are stored in a different file so will be ok.

Slump, Riffeh found that the problem was that I was sorting my gems into a pink pipe, but it was actually red. :lol: That was the main issue, now it's fine.

I'd like to take this opportunity to call out dr slump as the best new member DQCraft has had in a long time. Aside from him knowing masses about tekkit. He is incredibly proactive in tracking down sources of lag and griefers. I've already deputised him and I don't think it will take him long to make Mod status.

Keep up the good work slump! :)

Doesn't matter what vanilla version is installed on your PC, the technic launcher will create a separate folder called "techniclauncher", the "minecraft" folder will stay unchanged.
The lattest tekkit version is still based on 1.2.5 due to the waiting time for updated mods. Use the recommended version (by default) and you'll be fine.

When does it stop working? Does the launcher show up and crashes while starting tekkit or does it crash before? Does it say something like "Script error?"
Take sure that you have a stabil internet connection and the right java version. Test both, java 6 and 7, cause depending on your OS this could be the reason (mac client doesn't work with java 7 but with java 6, the server not with java 6 but with java 7. You either recompile the launcher or deal with it, even if it means to let two java version run at the same time (not a big deal)). I recommed to check for java updates anyway.
 
I got it working by downloading the just the jar file and running it with java, signed on to the server and had a little look around. I can't place or break anything yet and since I had wandered away from the town and it was turning to night I left. :P

Yeah, the app has a weak code. You find the java file in it btw, it's also a good way to play tekkit without internet by directly starting the jar, because the app won't start up if it can't connect to the update servers.

This above is for the mac version, not sure if the offline mode works on windows, I'd have to test it but I'm too lazy! :dopey:
