Hopefully one of you guys can help me, didn't get many answers from Minecraft forums.

Basically, the past few days my single player world has suddenly taken ages to load and when it does I either fall through the world or only the chunk I'm in loads.

I can't open chests, I can break blocks but not receive the item back. My CPU also goes to 100% on this particular world, by creating 2 java processes, ending one of them does nothing.

I have 2 other worlds, a random survival I made and a creative, they both load and work fine.

Can anybody offer any advice? Seems strange that it only effects one of my worlds. I haven't installed any mods, except OptiFine to see if it would help, it didn't.

If you don't have SPC (Single Player Commands) I would get it, since that "kill all" command is in there. If you start having those problems just do the command and it should pick back up in FPS and everything.

Well this is the result of me and my friend playing on minecraft for today and last sunday. The lava and the minecart ride was his idea. I did the planning and most of the building for the tower. So far the idea is to make it into a apartment complex(with only the third floor made without rooms so far).

*Psst* I would make things like this if I had creative mode enabled on Dunc's server. ;)

Thanks, I'll make sure to get it.

Just finished building the rooms inside my tower. Now I have to see if I can export the building for all to enjoy it! It has 15 apartment rooms in total(May make an additional large room later since I have room).

I'd download it.

Do your rooms come with chains, handcuffs and lotion?

No but they have the capacity to let you do that. Hence why the rooms were left empty.

Edit: On the download site's render of the world at night the building looks like a futuristic cannon!

A peek around Twitter has shown a few pictures and YouTube videos regarding future additions to Minecraft Pocket Edition. One picture noted the inclusion of Experience. And where there's experience, there is... enchanting! It would come in handy to have something like Knockback to keep Creepers at bay when using a sword. Now, there was one video I saw that had various hidden items that were programmed into MCPE, but not implemented. Among others: redstone, cookies, potions, Ender pearls, saddles, boats, minecarts, and more. A lot of them are listed as "spawnname" or something like that, and many of those items couldn't actually be used.

A concept video of MCPE shown things like the stars and moon in the sky as well as spiders with glowing red eyes at night. I also noted more double chests. I would really be interested to see even new blocks and items to use and craft in MCPE. At this point, access to The Nether or The End seems unlikely for MCPE. I don't even want to imagine fighting the Ghasts, the Ender Dragon, and the Wither and such.

Ok, I know I'm a "late bloomer" but I just got MineCraft and Xbox 360, I've always played PS3 and just bought the Xbox for this game.. So just to throw this out there, if there is any other adults with mics playing this on 360 please feel free to add me: my Gamer ID is: King0fKongs .. The "O" in "0f" is a zero.. Thanks!

Unfortunately not, on Xbox 360 edition, you can only join games hosted by people on your friends list or friends of people on your friends list. :indiff:

Which begs the question, why buy an Xbox purely to play Minecraft? Get it for PC.

I think the both have their ups and downs IMO. I like the Xbox version because I can easily start an online game with friends. I still haven't figured it out on pc.

But buying an Xbox just so you can play MineCraft seems a bit silly to me.

It's so much better on the PC.

I personally think it's only better if your PC can run it well. (Normal distance, 30fps at least)

Some people like the constantly smooth performance on the Xbox 360 version because they have a PC that can't do the same. That was the case for me, until I got my laptop.

Yeah but minecraft with a gamepad must be horrible!

In other news, new game installed!!

Hide and Seek!!

Just to clarify here. I traded a projector that I paid nothing for and $50 for an Xbox slim, so that's the only reason lol.. But yes, MineCraft was the only game I wanted for Xbox, I might take a crack at Forza though. I did not get it on PC simply because I do not think my laptop will render it very well, it can't handle San Andreas worth a crap.

I almost always disagree with buying a console just for one game. It would make more sense to get something that you're going to hopefully enjoy using for a long time and to purchase lots of items for it. So I'm irked about getting an XBOX 360 just for Minecraft XBOX 360. Other than that, welcome to the Minecraft players club! :)

Nothing new from me regarding Minecraft Pocket Edition, but I did play the Minecraft Pocket Edition demo on another device. My mobile device- the Samsung Galaxy Player 4.2 is what I use to play MCPE. I played the MCPE demo on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, which has a dual-core processor unlike my SGP 4.2's single-core processor. The game played a bit more fluidly on the Galaxy Tab 2 compared to my SPG 4.2. So I know if I want to go deeper playing with MCPE, I'd have a better experience with a mobile device better able to handle gaming.

I can run MC at 1080p with everything at max at a constant 60fps with an OC'd HD6450 so modern day PCs should be able to run it smoothly.

Download the server from the website, set your router to let the server port be open to your friends, and then share the ip(with the server port) of your network for your friends. Plenty of guides out there to do this.

Hi everyone. I knew about Minecraft for quite a long time but I actually just bought the game a week ago. I was also debating if I should get the 360 or PC version, but I winded up going with PC because I wanted bigger worlds.

However, I am having issues where the frame rate gets choppy. It also doesn't help that it snows in my world, which makes things a bit worse. The game is still playable but this tends to get annoying. Doesn't anyone know what settings I can adjust to fix this?

But don't I have to pay to host a server?

You can cut down the render distances and that should improve the performance but you will lose... render distance. Not sure if there are other fixes out there that don't require you to sacrifice that. To change it hit escape, go to options, video settings, then render distance is in the upper right.

No you don't have to! The server files are all available from minecraft.net. You can set a separate PC to run as the minecraft server for the best performance. However you can run the server on your computer while playing minecraft as long as the computer is fairly powerful. This video explains everything in detail.

@MuoNiuLa: You can try playing with the video settings. Disabling the smooth shadows should give you quite a bit back plus it will make minecraft look a bit more retro. If the fps is so bad then download OptiFine Light version for the best fps gain.
