I've actually found that there are some texture packs that can kick the framerate up a couple notches, too (usually because of the trees being done differently). I'll see if I can remember which one I had a good experience with.

The more you think about Minecraft, the more you become inspired to try to create things. Minecraft is more like a big LEGO world to me. I've loved LEGOs since childhood. So when I think of building things in Minecraft, part of me envisions having that big tub of LEGOs that I still have today with all the LEGOs from the many different sets I've had. Yes- a big kid who still has his LEGOs! It just makes you wonder what more you can really do with Minecraft if you're the creative type.

I am a bit considering starting another Minecraft Creative world in Minecraft Pocket Edition to modify completely with all kinds of structures. This time, I'm going to focus more towards using some of that space from my schematics I created on my PC. Those imported schematics will just have some extra touches to make them complete and useful (namely items like doors and glass). The effort will be a combination of MCPE play and MCEdit implementation. I may just import and export my worlds between my PC and my Android device until I create another such world I'm proud of creating.

MCPE Version 0.7.3 has not been released yet. However, I am very much anticipating the new changes to this game. I want to see how my created world looks with the time cycles implemented. I am at least hopeful seeing my world(s) with dusk, dawn, and of course- night. I also want to know what other blocks may be included. The 0.7.3 update is to include things like the double chest for storing more items among many other things. I'd love to play PC Minecraft, but MCPE is just as good for me.

No lost cause. If and when I do get to enjoy PC Minecraft in some capacity, I somewhat have a plan to incorpoate my MCPE material into PC Minecraft if it is possible. Hardly ever do I really give up on something. So it isn't likely paying $27 USD for a gift card to buy Minecraft was just a waste of money. I may get back to PC Minecraft for when I eventually get a new PC. I am not exactly sweating wanting to play Minecraft on the PC right now.

So yesterday I got minecraft finally and I have heard that there is a gtplanet server but I can't find the thread on here that gives me the information

It should be on the first page of this one, Although with the change and merge of other Minecraft topics, I don't even know.

When I looked up Tweets on Minecraft Pocket Edition, there were a few features that MCPE players want. However, implementing them isn't as easy as with the PC version. I can understand not having tall grass or redstone circuits and how complex they are to implement. Since making my own NPC Villages, the additions I wouldn't mind seeing are the NPC Villagers and some of the different animal mobs. Something like horses and ocelots are animals I wouldn't mind. Many others like the wolves. But I think if you have to have ocelots, you have to have fish and fishing since it takes fish to tame an ocelot. I also wouldn't mind boating in MCPE.

As much as I want to make worlds under Creative Mode, I am becoming more interested in designing worlds to make a world to be played under Adventure Mode. Maybe since I'm kind of creating my own kind of story with my own story world, Adventure Mode seems to be the best sort of mode for which to implement my sort of world and how it is to be played. I have not designed this world at all since I don't have PC Minecraft working. But I am always the dreamer. Anything I attempt to create are just dreams until I make them come true. That's the kind of big kid that I am.

Lastly, to end this post, I saw a whole magazine devoted to Minecraft. On the front cover was good old Steve holding a pickaxe and some words saying something like "How Minecraft Changed Gaming." Great to know a game's popularity even warrants a magazine.

I always play adventure mode. It's so much more rewarding when you have to survive and gather the resources you need to build.

I think it just adds frustration :P
Back off zombie, I'm building here! :D

I never really enjoyed the survival side of it. Especially the eating bit. Just takes time away of what you actually want to do.

That's why when I'm working on a big project I always turn the difficulty to Peaceful. I'm in the process of literally converting a mountain into a fortress and the last thing I want to be bothered by is a Creeper blowing up in my face. :lol:

But I personally prefer Survival mode, which is similar to Adventure I assume? Finding resources is part of the fun for me as it forces me to explore my world. I built two branch mines and found a mineshaft and other interesting stuff underground in my search for diamond.

I've logged into the new server and had a look around :) Looks really great. I'd love to join in if I could. Do I have to request to get on the whitelist or such?

My username is the same as always, tlowr4.

EDIT: Nevermind, announcements helped me out. Just warped to trials. Let's do this thang!

EDIT2: Member now :D Only issue is with the 800ms ping I get to the server, fighting is near impossible. Unless I'm decked out in pretty much diamond armor, I guess I won't be killing much. Ventured out at night and got owned so, I'll have to hunt around the city and get some materials together first.

EDIT3: Curiosity question, will the old [Private] for chests and doors plugin still work these days? I loved that thing, very helpful for setting up temporary shelters if you don't have a gold shovel on hand to claim land and such.

EDIT4:

... wow.

The whole green uncommon, blue rare and orange legendary (I'm assuming there's purple epics as well), feels VERY World of Warcrafty. I like it :P

Not at the moment but it's quite a lightweight plugin so it could be added.

You've always had problems with lag tlowr. Is anyone else experiencing this on my server?

Awesome. If it could it'd be really great :P

And yeah, I've always had 800ms pings. Nothing I can't live with. Since these enchanted items dropped I feel a lot safer now. Didn't take long to get some gear and I'm okay now. I take some extra damage but, meh. I'm used to it.

Framerate wise I've been fine. Far render, no Optifine (yet, fresh Minecraft install) and I'm getting 60fps steady. New pc <3. But of course, framerate isn't usually to do with the server, so nothing to worry about there.

So after playing this on 360 for several weeks, I have decided to buy a Graphics card for my PC, where is the best place to get MineCraft?

When I bought Minecraft, I bought it using a gift card I got from a Wal-Mart. It cost me about $27 USD, and all I did was redeem my code online to get Minecraft. All you have to do then is just download the Minecraft stuff from the official site and you're set.

Thanks for the replies everyone! Hopefully I'll be able to enjoy all this cool stuff everyone is building soon! 👍

Uhhh....

While heading out to my planned mining and secret hideaway location, I came across TONS of the DiabloDrops chests filled with enchanted loot. That was the highest teir item I found. have yet to test it out. I didn't take all the loot mind you, only what I needed. I left what I didn't need and even replaced a few of my old items for the new ones, so as not to be greedy. So there's still plenty out there guys.

XD Maybe. These are all from chests by the way. Only my bow and a few armor peices dropped from mobs. I've gained a few more peices since then. Most of it is useless. Like hoes with sharpness on them, or shovels with Looting 4. Most of which I'll just keep and give out to newbies or burn. But there's a LOT of loot out there. Play for an hour and you'll be decked out in gear. Don't need to punch a single tree.

Minecraft Pocket Edition 0.7.3 was recently unveiled earlier this morning. I know so since my Android device automatically searched for the latest edition of MCPE. Among the real visible changes were the new yellow menu text on the main splash screen as well as the time cycles. When I saw the times change, I actually noticed red colors in the sky. I also noticed the moon and stars. Unfortunately, I don't think the time cycles also apply to Creative Mode. Skies seemed to remain daytime for when I was just sort of lightly play-testing the environment. I was also trying to see just what really changed among the blocks because it seemed like one extra block or item was implemented. Just wasn't sure what it was.

According to Google Play, here are some of the new additions:
* Added sun, moon and stars
* double chest
* quartz slabs
* cooler title screen
* many Realms improvements
* bug fixes

So that concludes this snapshot of the changes made to MCPE.

[UPDATE] I forgot to mention that you can toss certain inventory items now. Just hold down on the item you want to throw from your Inventory bar. When the bar fills up, you can successfully throw out any inventory item.

There is a new perk for Sponsors.

Throw an egg at any friendly mob, and it will instantly transform in to its spawn egg.

This will make collecting animals for farming much easier. :)

Can't you just use leads? Sure they might be a pain to use, but still... it's not that bad.

Minecraft is headed to PS3, PS Vita and PS4 this year. Can't wait!

I want it sooooo bad for my PS3. I hope it will be as up-to-date as the XBOX version.
