Mini Clubman Vision Gran Turismo Discussion Thread

I never saw any connection (even here and here back in 2013) with the i8 and the BMW VGT. Superleggera is still some way off yet, you never know, we may get it for GT7

Well, it did look like a hybrid car (which did not carry over to the actual VGT car), so there's that connection. A slim one, for sure, but the shoe still fits.

But yeah, hopefully GT7 can include the Superleggera. Or then again, maybe not. It's PD, who knows what are they doing?

MINI doesn't know what "mini" means, now do they?

Either way, it's a decent looking thing at best. I'm pretty content with it!

Hmmm a mini in Jamaican colours ? I really hope and wish fingers crossed we get a union jack option for the roof. Am I the only one who wants this :indiff:

I'd like to see that happen, but considering that MINI is listed as German manufacturer in Gran Turismo 5 and 6, either PD or BMW don't want that.

Mini will forever be British it's even built here, having a different owner do not change their heritage. What if Eskimos bought ferrari would it be listed as Antarctica ☺ it's a shame .. if I could afford to buy Nissan I would see how kaZ likes driving a Welsh car ☺

Is it me or does the actual model only bare a slight resemblance to the sketches?

The proportions on the car look nothing like the sketch, the sketch looks amazing but the actual car (what we can see of it) doesn't look all that great IMO.

I really like the headlights, I think it's a a great nostalgic idea!!! I can't wait to see what the full car looks like... :D

Concept sketches have always been that way. A car can look far more extreme in drawings than in the actual metal. (or in this case, pixels) Of course, we still need to see the whole car to compare its proportions with the design sketches. My five cents.

By the way, enjoying that lime green livery, but I feel that I enjoy the red body/black stripe one more. At least we know that the Mini will offer some colour choices, which is good for variety.

At least it's a JCW. As a MINI (R53) owner myself I'm OK with this. Not really what I was expecting, sorry never been much a fan of the Clubman but this will do until I get the download this this coming week.

OP updated again with the news and official pictures.

Looks good in midnight black metallic with red! You can tune the suspension (aside from ride height), the transmission, drivetrain and downforce levels.
