Semi-Premium. :P
It's not quite as detailed as what was in GT5P or GT5, so that's probably why it didn't make the cut. Since GT6 will have semi-Premiums, it might appear there, or it may have been remade by then.

What are the improvements? It looks just as cluttered as GT5 to me.

Looks more cluttered to me...
hmm... since that is not a menu screen I do not know what it is supposed to show related to menus.

I think the B-Spec display in GT5 was better than that mock up though.

If B-Spec is to return I hope they give us back the 1 2 and 3 x feature that was in GT4 to speed the races up a bit.

I find this screen better than what's currently available for B-Spec mode. It may be a bit hard to remove the 'cluttered look', but I think it looks better

not sure why you would think it is better. In GT5 that info is on screen but with a transparent background so it looks less cluttered with a bigger display and of course you can make almost all of it disappear with the click of a button where as that one looks like it would be fairly static

This thread depresses me. A lot.

All those features that look so interesting and are so needed in order for this game to feel properly made and not like a half-arsed job...all of them, axed. The indicator lights (I know, completely superfluous but shouldn't be too hard to implement), sprint course maker, paint scraps, that odd racing Mini, and so on, and so on...

Please PD, make it right. All the time you spend in developing this features becomes nothing but a waste when you limit them to a couple of demo builds. It's a shame to see your efforts becoming wasted time.

To the OP, please update the post with all the suggested missing features if you can. It's hard to keep track of all of them.

I skimmed through the last 7 pages, and I don't think I saw any mentioning of Missions. I love it in GT4. They have to be more creative with it though. Technically we got similar challenges from the Seasonal Events, Special Events, and License Test, but there's always room for more possibilities, like pushing for the last 2 laps of a race out of a pit stop, trying to take a mechanically damage car to the pits-fix-then finish, over taking on the last two corners of a race, and why not add Rally/F1 type missions too.

The problem with GT5 is that it had so many variety of cars, but not enough events for them.

Is there some feature that was in older GT games that you want in GT5, Like mileage meter on the HUD. It's not necessary important, but fun to have.

If you watch one of the new GT6 videos in the news section (370z's round Autumn Ring), wait until towards the end of the race, the player changes the view to bumper cam, and in the HUD there is a working odometer :-D

I can try my best to clean up some of the first post. ;)

Ok, the first post is done for now. I will updating soon, in meanwhile tell me if I forget something. :)👍

I miss the 900 degree steering turns in the game... Ithink that's a huge bummer than GT5 didn't have that. Hopefully GT6 will?

How came i don't see none talking about Mechanical damage in gt6 ?

not just in practice mode. But across all modes? Don't you guys think is time PD add this feature to A-Spec ?

I add some more.

Some from this picture and YouTube replay output

Didn't Kaz talk about Team Builder will come to GT6 or am I wrong.

mechanical damage is too complicated for the PS3 IMO.
but I'll definitely be expecting mechanic failure/damage in GT7 on the PS4

I much, much, much prefered this older layout than the slow, cumbersome, must-enter-20-menus-to-get-to-where-you-want user interface that we have now.

And this needs bringing back too, I used it alot, and use something similar in GT5 thanks to the secret menu, but no-one should have to resort to cracking the game's encryption just to get at it.

Not sure why you would think that, I had games over 10 years ago that did mechanical damage quite well and the PC required at the time was not nearly as strong as the PS3 is. We're talking like 8 megs of ram and 4 megs of video ram on a single core CPU running at less than 1ghz. The PS3 is way beyond that in every aspect.

The only reason one would not be able to do mechanical damage on the PS3 would be if the other stuff in the game left no resources to handle it.

The graphics are the biggest limiting factor on these consoles routines for mechanical damages are nothing compared to the routines required for even simple visual damage.

couple of reasons why Ithink that.
1) it's PD, I would think if they are going to implement something they're more than likely going to do it right than wrong.
2) the processing power of MECHANICAL damage would be a lot for the PS3 to handle. I think you're talking about visual?

Mechanical damage has been in games for many years. Old rally and TOCA games implemented a better form of damage than what we have in GT5 two whole console generations down the line.

Example, I remember that if you had a nudge with another opponent on the old TOCA games, the fenders or wheel arches would rub against the tyres, causing a loud squeel, smoke, change in handling and speed and eventually a puncture. If this was possible in the PS1 days, I'm pretty sure it's possible at the end of the PS3's days.

To say that PD would want to add it in properly (when they have failed to do so on most other aspects) and that the PS3 can't handle it is simply making up excuses.

No I was talking about mechanical, Visual takes much more processing power.

Have you ever saw the PC version of NFS Porsche Unleashed? Not only did it have mechanical damage but it targeted many different parts, you could destroy the springs, dampers, trans, engine as well as body parts and such. It also had visual damage and very decent physics as well. What it did not have is HD graphics though at the time it was released the graphics were good as well and it ran very smooth on a low end PC of the day. It even had 8 player Lan support for multiplayer racing.

They also made versions for consoles but I never played those.

Trust me the graphics are the hog when it comes to resources animated HD images require a lot of processing power whereas stuff like mechanical damage is minimal in comparison.

So like I said I do not know what makes you think the PS3 can do it but I am a developer with over 15 years of experience and I know for a fact it can, for that matter the PS1 could but it could not even come close to displaying 16 standard cars on the track at the same time.

I think I like it more because it shows the little car animation above the screen showing the distance (in length) between both cars-like in GT4. Looking back, saying it's less 'cluttered' was the wrong statement, I think i's like to see that screen as well as the current screens from GT5 B-Spec into GT6 B-Spec...
...unless there's something better :)

Well where should I start?

1. The ability to drive wearing a suit (Shown in Ferrari California Trailer)
2. The pre race ceremonies (Shown in GT5 E3 Trailer 09')
3. The unloading of the cars from the hauler (Shown in GT5P Lotus/Citroen/Ferrari intro)
4. The ability to open car doors in photomode (Shown in GT5 promos)
5. The ability to drive on the Red Bull test track (Shown in Red Bull intro under Special Events)
6. The ability to use the top road on the HSR (Shown in Ferrari California Trailer)

And that's just off the top of my head, I'm sure I could think of more.

Yeah that feature is quite useless , basically GT5's arcade mode. 👎 I spent four hours playing two yesterday and that event generator gave me the worst possible AI

What we need is an event generator that allows us to handpick every possible condition in order to have a race custom made to our needs. Size of grid, each and every car on the grid, difficulty level of each participant, tyres of each participant, track conditions, number of laps, tyre wear and fuel consumption...etc.

That'll give the game LOADS of replayability that, to me, GT5 lacks.
