I like the tension a bit.

I hope two or three people can quickly get out of each pack and have a tight competition in front and leaves us peasants non alien drivers to have the fun.

We do allow some swearing ? cause the f word is going to slip...a lot.
Oh hell yeah,i think once we establish who are the quick championship contenders then the relevant "slower" drivers can stay clear whilst having fun fighting in the mid field or at the back.
Did we all agree on the in game chat level?
The best suggestion was free speah in warm ups no speach in quali and then during the actual race just warnings to back markers and up coming incidents and debris on track and appologies

I was wondering on a lowest drop also. I have to travel every now again for work on the weekends. Normally in transit on Sunday and don't know when till the week before. You guys are doing a great job on the rules so disregard this if you find it not needed. I'm going to share a old sub/lowest drop rule we used to use. I'm sure there are plenty of other ways of doing this that work but this is what we used after a lot of trial and error.

My old series had a allowed subs but it worked like this. There was a pool of sub drivers and when you said you needed a sub the next available sub who hasn't raced takes your place. Only the league knows the order of sub drivers so no one could try and manipulate the sub list. This maintained a good list of backups who practiced with us and we got to know who was good at what. Then we allowed the lowest race of the season to be dropped, although you could not drop any substitute race. Meaning if your lowest finish was 9th and your sub finished 12 you had to drop your 9th. This gave the the guys who did race every race the possibility of having a advantage by making all of their races and the drivers who had subs having a chance or being hurt by missing if they did worse than your worse race. You were allowed to have subs for up to 50% of the races but you could never have the same sub driver twice and the main drivers lowest race would always be dropped, never drop a sub driver score.

anyway, it worked real good with having guys all over the world as different holidays and such can make someone miss and also grown up jobs and that. Any way, not trying to provoke another poll, just maybe keep this in mind and other Lowest drop/sub situations as real world can catch up to us sometimes. Also having a good sub list will help as it always seemed we would lose about 8 to 10 drivers a season out of our 32 drivers. Some would miss a few and get down on them selves and quit. Someone would get wrecked by someone and couldn't get over the anger from it and quit. Some guys have serious anger issues and always blame someone for their wrecks in a loud dramatic way, these guys gotta go. Then you get a few mad girlfriends/wifes who shut it down for their man, or vice versus as I see we have at least one lady driver. We all know how it goes.

We used this system when a driver quit also. The sub driver came in and finished up the season but used the rules from above. The sub is now the permanent driver (the league officials would pick the driver from the pool) and he would race every race from then on but still drop the lowest of the original driver who quit.

A lot of good rule packages out their to choose from but remember, the main drivers who make every race should have the ability to come out ahead of the guys who have subs. In almost all situations, the drivers who made every race came out ahead of guys who used subs on the avg. over the year. This always kept the drivers who made every race feel they weren't being screwed by sub drivers for other teams. This also prevents a ringer being selected as a sub and having the pool of subs gives the race officials a idea of what sub drivers can drive in what tier as they are required to practice with the league.

Sorry about the long post, enjoying reading you guys talking and working this out. I do also agree that rules are going in a great direction and you can't please everyone but I have to say I agree with everything so far that's been put in place and also like that a lot of talk and thought goes into all decisions. Again, im not trying to push for this rule but if a drop/sub rule needs to come in effect based of the masses, this is a good place to start.

So as it applies:
*10 race season - each driver can have 5 subs (never the same one twice)
*Main Driver applies for sub - Race officials supply sub to the team in need
*The lowest score of the main driver is dropped at end of year - never is a substitutes score dropped.
*When a main driver quits his seat is given to a sub who the officials select to now be the primary driver-the original drivers lowest score will be dropped.

Do you guys that have wheels use the vibration turned on? I have my first wheel, a t300rs and just started messing with driveclub to practice and I feel the vibration doesn't feel right. Do guys normally use it?

I have it off on DC

Ok thanks. I didn't seen to correspond to anything that made sense. I race karts and have limited experience in auto racing so I don't have much real life driving to Compare it too. the sound, vibration on wheel and my buttshaker were all doing different things. the forcefeedback feels pretty spot on though

Don´t even bother, FFB in Driveclub sucks big time...

The forcefeedback seems weak but at least it feels correct or timed correctly just not strong. The vibration just confused me more than helped.I don't have anything to compare DC too so ur probably right. Thanks guys.
