Finally ordered my PS4!! It should be here tomorrow. I will go through the list and add the people listed on the series (the ones who are not already on my friend list), as I have since found out there is a 100 person limit on the PS3 lol.

I will most probably be getting the Digital download on the day, I just hope the Sony servers are able to give me enough bandwidth for the download not to take an age, my T'Internet is plenty fast enough (~60Mb).

I have also ordered a pair of Turtle Beach PX4 headphones for good measure, as my current blue tooth earpiece is old skool and pretty crappy, esp as I have to use headphones for sound, meaning I only get one ear for chat, one for game sounds. It is a right PITA!

Not long to go now!!! Whoop Whoop....

Yep good times ahead man. Glad you got your stuff ordered. Let me know how those headsets are. I'm using beats put would like some wireless.
 
Not 100% sure yet but I might be flying out of town on the weekend of qualifying. I was wondering if when I find out for sure, I could do my laps before the weekend. Or after but before would seem more fair to others as I would have less time, even if a day or two to practice. This might not be the case but just hoping we might have a day for guys that can't qualify on that weekend. I would be fine with just being relegated to the third teir if thats appropriate. I'll probably be there anyway, haha.

And on running headphones and speakers/buttshakers, I have ordered some stuff to try to get it all run correctly. I think I have it figured out but Ill know next week when it all comes in.

Right now the plan is to run hdmi out of ps4 to the tv. Put the headphones on all audio which turns off the tv sound. Then out of the optical out on the PS4 i will have a splitter to two optical lines, one will then have a converter to left/right analog that will run to the playseat(buttshaker and speakers) then the other optical out will go to sound bar and sub woofer. I will also try to run the optical into tv to see if that will work but I doubt it will.

I have also found that a hdmi decoder will work and then you can do what ever you want out of that and all sound will work. The price point on a hdmi decoder is way too high though as its seems like something for a production quality audio. Maybe someone here knows more about this. The cheapest I found was $350.

Theres a lot of people,me included,who joined cos its a sunday league,having wives and kids means that sunday afternoon/evening is the most convenient time,i wouldnt be opposed to pushing back the start time but even pushing back to mid day est would make it tea time uk and would really only take you to past midnight....so mmmm... @STALLIONO we could maybe do a mid season invitational,no points just a night race for the guys in those time zones,any of us that could do a late one could join but maybe @thebigRAGOO could organise it then invite us???

Iam personally using a pair of Astro A50, awesome set of cans. But all these are very good too :cool:

Also please please everybody use a headset or a stereo earphone with mic with ALL AUDIO to the earphone

Hearing your tv sound is disturbing and bandwidth heavy.

Maybe there is a push to talk option also

ps : i personnaly use elites and they are great for the slider giving you the choice of how you mix game audio and chat

It's already the case. I just find it less practical if i want to have it clean. But i don't mind and actually may well be easier before race when you want to check positions

Would be great if you do this conversations somewhere else (group messages work very well on gtplanet!). It's been very hard to keep up with the series-related stuff
