The racing we did yesterday was pretty good, couple of issues with lag on the first race but after that it was pretty stable.

Edit: Never mind. To much trouble. I'll wait for god sakes. :ouch:

Okay everyone.. We need 2 more Drivers. Depends on another driver, but i'll keep his spot. Try and fill those 2 spots .

Stalliono it was your idea and you're not sure why? Sorry got to laugh at that. I'll vote for the RUF GT3
The Qualifying Car is locked. Seems as though the Series might get pushed back a few weeks. Not enough online settings. See if a patch gets released. No need to rush The Series.

Anyone got any benchmarks on good times with the GT4?

Had a quick Google and the IRL Aston Martin GT4 challenge at Silverstone had times around 2:15-2:20. I've managed to do a 2:15 without any tuning so guessing some of you guys can get down to the 2:10's.

Nah I like the idea of having the same car to qualify in, I know that the cars are supposed to be balanced but it makes it a bit more equal if we are all driving the same thing.

Also for all of you who haven't got the game yet, tuning isn't great. In fact there are a few things in terms of settings that are pretty annoying. I can only change the a.i difficulty in increments of 10 (80 is too easy, 90 is too hard), and for tuning you can only change stuff like aero and gear ratios in fixed increments. You barely make it into 6th gear on Silverstone with the gt4 Aston Martin, so I want to use shorter gears, but I can't because the increments are too large.

Seems like a few things aren't working as intended at the moment, hopefully we get a patch before our season starts.

The Aston Martin GT4 really is a handful to drive compared to most GT3 cars. What's the first thing you tune on the Aston? I'm sliding all over the place.

I managed to make it worse before I made it better but it is a right handful even with tuning. I found it has a tendency to lose the back end quite frequently even when I'm being careful.

AI difficulty adjustment should be patched so you can go up in increments of 1. It's been reported to SMS.

For tuning gears, it will mimic real life, so you won't have unlimited options. You have whatever options the real car would have. The typical "sliders" like you find in GT (maybe Forza but I've never played) are not found in real life so you generally won't find them in any sims.

Is it just the AI difficulty that's been raised with SMS or all the sliders that go up in larger increments?

If you are over steering on corner entry soften the rear springs, shock damping, or rear sway bar. If over steer occures on corner exit soften rear shock rebound.

Make small adjustments drive some laps and adjust more until you feel like its handling the way you want it.

Can you make a video and post it?

Just a thought,

Why are we using a GT4 car to qualify for a GT3 series?

Have the same thought about it .
Lets go to the GT3 serie cars for qualifying and don't take only one car , but let the driver choose which car he want to qualify .
We have 8 cars for the GT3 series .

Astion Vantage V12 GVPi
Audi LMS Ultra GT3- Picks left 3
BMW Z4 GT3 -left 3
BMW M3 GT -left 3
Mc Lauren 12C GT3- Picks left 3
Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3- Picks left 3
RUF RGT-8 GT3- Picks left 3
Ginetta G55 GT3- Picks left 3

Honestly I thought the Aston gt4 is pretty easy to drive, it just doesn't have the same down force as a gt3 car so you have to take corners at lower speeds, and compared to gt3 cars you can put the power down so much earlier in the Aston gt4.

The only time I ever lose the back end in the gt4 is when I put all the power down mid corner in a low gear, or when the rear wheels touch the grass, other than that it hasn't caught me out once. I don't think it's down to me being some kind of driving God either, as the best lap I've managed so far is a 2:14 and I can't find any areas to improve other than maybe the long S bends before the back straight, and even then I'm looking at most a second.

I like having a small amount of oversteer on entry so it's a case of finding the balance. But I'll get there soon :)

Yeah, now I've had some more practice its getting easy to put in 2:15/2:16's, it probably doesn't help I kept doing a few laps and doing some career races just as I was getting used to it. Just need to give myself a solid hour of running and tinker as I go to get it perfect. I prefer the GT3's though, they seem to be much more predictable.
