Will the best ones gain using aids or will it only help the ones further back I wonder?

I haven't tested with or without aids yet, its just with the game/SIM being new some people could be better using aids.
But if you don't want to then alls good, i will just run abs maybe.

Nothing has changed guys. Qualifying car is still the gt4 Aston Martin. The Driving Aids on for Qualifying right now is ABS and TCS. I 'll update everything this week. Nothing has CHANGED

I think he's saying that in real life they use both abs and tc. So we should too. but only if the tc is scalable which I read it was. This would mimic real life and be accurate. But I'm against having to use tc if it's not scalable.

Every Tier will have Driving Aids on. No need to worry. I havent even played it yet.

GT Pro will have a few on. Most Likely TCS and ABS on. GT Semi and Am. Will have a few extra. You dont need to have them on. It will Get updated shortly. I do not have the game yet.

I understand some don't have the game yet but, it's not fair using assists to qualify for a position you didn't really earn. for pro all should be of, atm i have abs on but I can drive with it off.

Why do u guys not think we should have them? Real pro drivers do. If the game let's us scale them u can turn down as low as u like. I don't have game yet and just asking, not trying to argue or anything.

That's the question, are we gonna try and race with a setup harder than the real life drivers or not? AFAIK they have the ABS and TCS, but not the stability control.

If you wanted to have three distinct tiers you could have:

Pro - nothing
Pro am - ABS + TCS
Am - ABS + TCS + stability.

And have it so that if someone in a lower tier wants to race with less, they can.

But I'm not too fussed with any potential setup, although I wouldn't like stability to be an option for the top tier imo, for one I doubt it'd be needed.

Seriously, I don't understand why people get obsessed with driving with nothing when the same car in real life has ABS and TCS...sure it's a challenge but come on, a GT3 car has ABS and TCS in real life. Just go off what the actual car has for crying out loud.

Stability control is where a game starts to try and make it easy for you. And steering assists...

The cars that use assists in real life use them for a reason. For example in a GT3 car in pCars you will lock up over every bump and most slow zones if you try to brake late. You can brake much later with ABS. In theory you should be able to brake just as late without ABS via threshold braking, but theory doesn't always translate to reality. On the flip side of ABS, the FA rarely locks up when ABS is off. It just depends on car design and what the car is designed to do.
GT3 - ABS TCS
GT4 - ABS TCS Stability Control
The easiest way I've found to enforce this is turn all assists off and turn real assists on in the lobby.

The comment I made about online lacking options doesn't really apply that much to our series. It's more of an online public lobby issue.

ABS is on or off TCS is adjustable.

All the lobby settings do are limit what assists you can use, we should just put the limit as real (for both qualifying and the races) and let people decide if they want abs and traction or not. I will definitely be using abs as I'm a lot slower without it, and I will only turn on traction control if the weather demands it.

for the pro series just set it to real and all other aids off then allow lower series to use them
