Just hopped on. I was grilling. I think that guys with controllers might need some aids due to the triggers. We have a little time. Let's all get the game and see what's up. Hey spooky, heard you were putting up some good lap times. I'm coming!!!:cheers: You and zaks are on my radar. Haven't really scene anybodys else's. MAN I'm ready.
 
I think he's saying that in real life they use both abs and tc. So we should too. but only if the tc is scalable which I read it was. This would mimic real life and be accurate. But I'm against having to use tc if it's not scalable.
TC is tunable for your individual car and it really works. Read the description though. Higher settings..to the right...means it takes longer for the TC to set in, allowing more wheelspin. A lower setting...to the left..means it kicks in earlier allowing less wheelspin. It's a very important tuning option and moving it just a little each way can be felt when you exit the slower corners.

TCS Adjustable will be good for the Rain
For sure. I think even the most skilled controller users would have a hard time being consistent in the rain without TC or on worn tires.
 
Driving assists could/should be on especially with the advantage of people using wheels instead of the DS4. Each has its advantages and disadvantages.

I'm on controller and used both ABS and TCS in the race we did earlier, it helped. More for consistency over the longer races (this one was 52mins) I can go without but it's nice to have the option.

Finally hit a 2:13 something with the GT4, it was a sloppy lap as well so think I might be able to get into the 2:12's. Guess doing about 70 laps of Silverstone today has paid off.
 
O my bad. I missed the race. I was going to watch it but I had to leave. O well my day is coming. A little over 24 hours. I'll be out there with yall. Has there been any word about the us psn store getting pcars. Just curious before I start searching. I just want to know if it's going to be there tuesday. I've bought the disk copy I pick up at 12pm Tuesday morning. But if it hits, I'll just get my money back.

yeah I saw that blog thread for pcars digital Today, it made my day but I won't believe Sony till its out Tuesday I just hope I can download it at night or when I'm at work. Not trying to wait till Wednesday to play I've waited 3 n half years is plenty lol. Dose anyone know when pen update the store, I think it was 12 pacific time 3 eastern that was ps3 do .
 
I can't race if there's no ABS. I doubt I'll make pro anyway.

I'm afraid I'm in the same boat. I'm terrible without ABS. I know it will be sorted this week and whatever the decision I'm cool with it. But if the decision to run top tier without aids in the championship series you must run the qualifying without them too. Because if you run qualifying with aids some members will qualify in top tier with those aids on and those members at the first race of the championship with aids off will be so frustrated they will leave and eventually not even turn up.

As is the case without ABS in race I also suck at GT4 cars. I'm terrible just cannot stop the back stepping out so much.

I think it best is if we just run ABS on PRO, have you lowered the brake pressure without ABS, that helps.

Yep I have. Played round with it yesterday morning but to no avail. The more I tinkered with settings the slower I got.:(. So maybe today put setting in opposite direction.

Zak watched race on your channel last night and that's a awesome set up you have there. It look like you were using the T300 but it look different.

The GT4 is a right pig without any assists, I think ABS is a must. But I see what you mean about the qualifying, why not having penalties for the assists? For example if using TCS you can't get any higher than the pro-am or am classes? But ABS should be a free for all.

Zak's setup is awesome, I wish I had the space for something like that.

I don't understand why so much talks about the assists. There is a "real" mode for this question.


In the setup you can adjust the TC by percent. Let people use those cars to be the fastest they can. There is no point doig different settings for each tier. We HAVE to have the same and there is an easy way to do it included in the game. No question asked.

If memory serves you can lobby force :

Manual gearing
Interior view
Real assists.

If you don't put real assists people can do whatever they want

But whatever is decided i´m good with...

On other note, after some practice manage a 2.10 something don´t recall now, and don´t remember if it was with or without ABS.

Some setups tips.

If your car is lose/tight on slow corners work on the suspension.

If your car is lose/tight on fast corners work the Aero.

You can't set TCS to 1.

Also, saying no TCS for qualifiying is like saying to a sprinter "you can only use 1 leg in the heats, but 2 in the final"
 
Actually, I don't really care if we can't use traction control for qualifying, I'm slower without it so that will give me an advantage come race day. :)
