I should be able to make it, might have to put it off though.

The sign up list is on this page.

The people Qualified already. Times will not be shown till Qualifying is over. This list will be updated..

I put down a 2:12:006 tonight. I'll try for something in the 2:11s now. :)

If I think I can't get any faster I'll contact you @STALLIONO and we meet online for qualifying?!

The series is full. You can sign up for a reserve slot if you'd like.
I didn't mean that I signed up at the beginning mate Im already confirmed, I was looking for the qualifying lobby settings as I've not been on the thread for a few days and there seams to have been quite a bit of convo ive missed

Also guys I know people are qualifying early but I'm not buying the game till this Friday coming, I've been practising on pc version ;) so I'm still ok to do my qualifying before or on the 31st right?

ffs, I haven't practiced at Silverstone in the Aston in ages and my time is down from 2:12/13 to 2:15.

Honestly I don't care anymore about my time, I just want to get it over with. It's such a frustrating car to drive as the front end just drifts out on every corner, even though I've adjusted pretty much every suspension setting.

I really hope I get to drive a gt3 car which just feels 'right' from the get go and doesn't require a load of tuning to be enjoyable to drive.

Edit: actually Stalliono, I'd like to drop out of tonight's qualifying session, I know I can go faster than I am the moment and it would be irresponsible for me to qualify tonight with a 2:15, as I'll basically be sandbagging myself. I'm going to keep on tuning until I'm happy with the Aston, and then I'm going practice the hell out of Silverstone.

Have you tried reducing the rear wing? Might help a bit.

Yeah I have, I could probably lower it another increment though. I tried putting it on its lowest setting but it just made the car really unstable through any consecutive high speed corners.

I saw the tuning guide you posted in the social thread and I'm going to try using that to help reduce the understeer. The guide looks good as it has actual information on how to reduce the different types of understeer (I don't have much entry or exit understeer but I have loads in the middle of the corners)

I spent ages tuning the damn thing, got my fastest time but wanted more so fiddled again and made it worse. Now i can't remember my old settings. Miffed

Thats what im scared of. Im messing around with it to. I plan on doing some serious tuning in the morning when i get off work.

Is it save to say that tuning only requires small adjustments for the most part?

Edit: Sorry double post....ooopps!!!!

I've done small one or two increment adjustments and there's still loads of understeer, but then the Aston understeered so much to begin with. Probably will take a few large adjustments to get it right.

Also I asked before but I didn't get a response: can I lower the pressure in my tyres to help stop them from overheating?

Tyres have an optimum operating window which is usually lower than the default pressures. Once in this window yes increasing the pressure will keep tres from overheating. You also need to consider driving habits. Your tires can only cool down so much over the period of a lap, so if you constantly have wheel spin or go to deep into braking zone you are increasing your average tire temperature for that lap. That average will then possibly take 2,3 or sometimes more laps to bring that average back down into the optimum window. This assumes you don't keep making the same mistake.

Is qualifying happening today? Is so what time in the uk?

I will be free after 1pm uk time.

Psn Bishop_GP. Having to use control pad as wheel doesn't arrive till next week.

Wait so increasing the pressure will make them overheat less? That's where I've been going wrong then, I lowered the pressure in them but they overheated even more than before, I put it down to the other changes I had made to the suspension.

Also if one tyre is overheating more than the other, can I have an asymmetrical setup with different set tyre pressures?
