Track Request
I've been asked to build a simple track with a 90° 2000m long downhill straight for chasing speed records. Since I don't have a rooted tablet I'm requesting this track here. Can somebody do it?

Edit: I've been told that is has to be 20.000m and less than 90° :)

Wow i'm just speechless, just tried some tracks and gotta say @PR1VATEJ0KER did an incredible job. Let's just hope that PD won't find out about this anytime soon (like the other glitch that let you actually use your new tracks...ugh...)

I've been looking into that myself, and I must say @PR1VATEJ0KER is a very talented gentleman, I have so far been quite unable to emulate his amazing success, despite hours of self educating.
With all the file/app tinkering I think I've ruined my install of GT and possibly permanently damaged my console.:ouch:
Oh, I thought there was a function on his website to do the... things. Very cool things.

Damn, what did you do? You shouldn't need to touch the PS3! You should be touching the Bin file, which is on the phone, which you then transfer on the computer to do editing and then back onto your phone then you upload it from the GT6 Track Editor! Unless I've missed that much stuff, I admit I actually read all 8 pages :P

Each time you try a track that GT6 doesn't have enough resources to handle. GT6 Locks up.
On the PS3 is a Games Database.
when you have to Hard Boot the PS3, this can cause corrupt files.

If you don't repair these files, you might just find that your PS3, can't find the System and will refuse to Boot to the XMB.

I've already had to reformat my HDD on the PS3 and re-install the current XMB, then re-Install GT6 and all the updates, Twice!

So there is risk, it just a matter of having a backup plan, and knowing that you risk messing up you PS3 and having to Start all Over.

I second this request. Though probably change the angle to 60 degree (if it's straight down you will just fall off) and make it 10km (Rollercoaster have a 7000m elevation change and it's still not high enough).

.............I admit I actually read all 8 pages :P

:gtpflag:I've read very little else but the pages in the GT Course Maker forum since the app was released, and I am now beginning to understand some of the functions, on a basic level, and what some of the data actually relates to. To be able to specify the tracks height parameters and/or change the theme maps would be brilliant - although whether I actually manage to do it is more a case of 'if' not 'when', but I ain't giving up.

Turns out it was just a particular track I'd made, <20km with no trackside objects and only 9,850ft(3000m) elevation, loaded ok and could run the full circuit but then crashed on exit and after the 4th one I noticed the ps3 was making a steady whine like the fan was running too fast.
As for back ups I've got an old fatboy ps3, (still runs good but gets hot), and I update every 2 weeks when the seasonals change and whenever there's a new game version - not taking any chances :boggled:

Can anybody recommend a way of getting better Height Elevation? I've tried all sorts but nothing seems to get close to even half of 'Rollercoaster'. 10k seems to be my Limit for Elevation. Any help is apprieciated.

I think Rollercoaster is 7k high so if you managed to get 10k you are already higher and that might be the limit of the game engine.

Thanks but I mean Rollercoaster overall elevations are 22,222,26k. I can only get 10,110k.

That seems way too high. I might have to check, but are you sure you are not confusing units with feet instead of km?

EDIT: I just checked, you confused track length with elevation. Roller coaster length is 22,000 km, elevation change is 7,000 km. The original creator hacked this track so he can bypass the 10 km track length limit. For the rest of us we can only get to 10 km. Of course, it's hard to make a 10 km high track if that is also your track length limit lol.

Nah, im definitely talking about 'Elevation Difference' not overall track length but yes it should be Ft not Km, My bad, 22222,26ft (4.21miles) is Elevation Difference for Rollercoaster, where as a track I made myself, tried multiple points, is only reaching 10,010ft myself. Wondering how one made such crazy elevations. Only after a high speed slope.

Better ask @PR1VATEJ0KER himself. I think he modified the terrain and made the track to follow it, instead of actually hanging the track in mid-air. That's why you see the green cliffside heading up the huge climb in Rollercoaster instead of just the road hanging in the air.

@PR1VATEJ0KER found a way to alter the Height Maps stored in tha APK.
So he Created a custom Height map, then built his track so his nodes fell on the Height Changes.
The Layout / Shape of the track is user created, but the Heights come from the Stored Terrain map inside the APK.

If you Visit the Site in his Signature, he has a couple modified APK files that you can use.

The devils elbow track was created with a custom height map.
The other tracks were created with original maps but customized dll which does some odd maths that kind of tilts all the height maps as the app reads them.

Rollercoaster was made with a version of the app that crashes most of time ingame and the elevation apk on carcomplete is a less dramatic version that doesn't seem to crash nearly as much.

Using the apk on the site, how high will the track go if you build to the south west on each theme ?

IIRC you should be able to build high enough to crash the game with the apk available on the site. If you go far enough south.

I'll upload the other apk when I have a chance.

Thanks @PR1VATEJ0KER, im finding the most is 10,100ft at Sierra, Death Valley not so much, Eiffel tracks cant be over 13-14miles or it freezes PS3 on transfer for me. Once you go completely out the barriers it just flattens out.

Mega jump on my list is mostly out of bounds apart from the huge straight after the first jump. I managed 752mph by myself after hitting two other jumps. Turned the track to face the opposite way for ghosting out speed runs and it changed it completely. :-(

How do I upload my .bin to the website to edit it?
I have the rooted bluestacks.

Then on the website click 'Choose File' and navigate to the folder you have saved the .Bin file to, and then click 'Upload', edit as you wish and then download to another folder and copy back into Bluestacks etc. - hope this helps,
and remember it's ".Bin" not ".bin" :gtpflag:

Got to play around with the modified APKs and web tool today. Big thanks to those who made it possible.

Basically created Route X on drugs - its 20.1 miles long, 80 meters wide and has 9954ft of elevation with a handful of jumps on the way down. Spent a couple of hours messing around with a bunch of road cars, where 650-750mph seems to be the norm for most of the powerful cars. Got this in the Supra.

I'm sure I'll tweak the track to try and hit 999mph with a road car, but until then I will be tailoring proper tracks without the limits of the unmodded app. After some screwing around, I see little reason for some of the restrictions [90 degree corners etc]. Haven't had issues with scenery or anything like that when I was exploring my curiosities.

Can I try your track out please?
