MODS PLEASE DELETE

Looks like Apricot Hill might be wetter than Tsukuba. On my third practice session, it started raining about lap 18 and never stopped. Track was 100% wet for the last 30 laps.

interesting, it hasnt rained for me...
Me either but because the way the room is set up, with the weather changeability set to 1, if that one change goes to rain, it will never stop raining from then on so I could see it happening. Lets hope it dosnt start raining

If what the game says is true, it doesn't change weather by 1 (time), it sets the speed at which weather changes to 1/60.

i dont know what kind of times yall are running on apricott hill, but as a new wheel user, ive got my 500pp garaiya running 123.3s

as for changing from a 500pp limit to a hp and kg minimum, im not exactly sure what the numbers will be yet, but ill send everybody a psn message and tell you what the new numbers will be...which should take affect for next weeks race. we will run apricot hill at 500pp

as far as the weather stuff is concerned...im not really sure how it works, i was just trying to get a variety going on

Still trying to get my time (20.6) down to sedii's(20.4). I will be hoping for rain :) Race should be fun, apricot has plenty of overtake chances.

Looks Like I will be towards the back this week. Best time has only been 1:23.9 in the BRZ
I will be on tonight if you'd like I can try to help you find time? The brz should be into the high 21's on average, but does get hurt on the longer straights at a track like this. Hopefully that problem will be resolved with next weeks reg change, hopefully something like 320hp 1175kg

Thanks for the offer and I'm totally fine with my times right now. I'm still learning the tracks without the driving line (new to GT Series) and it just takes me a bit longer to hit my braking points consistently. I also knew the BRZ was under powered when I picked it so please don't take what I said above as complaining. I look at it as a challenge to see how I can do with the car.

Oh no i wasn't at all, we've already been talking about changing the specs from pp to hp and kg. The brz is a great car, its just that when using pp, the rx7 has an advantage on the straights.

Hello guys. Unfortunately, I can't be with you tomorrow... I have a little trip to north Canada. See yo next week in Grand Valley East.

How are you guys treating the final turn here? Pit lane yellow line as the edge of the track or the curb?
The rubber on the track implies the curb is fine, but I would assume if you get 4 tires below that line you are pitting. Just wondering how other are interpreting it.

I'm at work trying to visualize it, if I remember right, the "racing line" you should ideally be taking, doesn't cross over the start of the pit entrance lane? In terms of "legal track", crossing into the pit entrance lane is "off track", so no more than two wheels allowed to cross it. More so, itd be nice to see everyone while pitting, entering the pit entrance lane at the start of it, as opposed to crossing over the lane late, to enter the pits.

Yes it would but I doubt that will happen.

I've got less than 200 miles on my car, under prepared and I have no idea how long fuel and tires are going to last so I'm probably going to be one of the guys who cuts you off going into the pits. I am running low 22's though so hopefully I'm not dead last.

Hopefully you can get on a bit early tonight and test, with fuel at very fast, it shouldn't take long to figure out how long a tank last you. Or to just get an idea of it, see what lap your at once 3/4 full, and multiply that by 4 :)

That's kinda what I was hoping. I usually want to know how long my fuel and tires are going to last running specific lap times so I can adjust accordingly and shoot for the best over all time but I may just go balls out 100% the whole way and see how it goes.

Looks like I'll be practicing right up to race time, my best time is still 1:23.3xx. Surprisingly that was when I was trying to be as conservative as possible with the gas. The car can make it to 15 laps with a full stint of gas saving, but any close racing will surely ruin the strategy. I'm looking at you @OuTLaW240
Anyway I'll have a practice room open around 3 or 4 if anyone wants to join me.

My notes are at home, but if I remember correctly, the RX7 is 12 laps full out, 13 with 3 laps of gas saving, and 15 on full conserve mode (results may vary by driving style of course). Tires never got below 4 on the front.

Edit: 13 full out, 14 with 2 laps conserving, 15 full conserve

LOL Mirado. Well I have yet to run a lap on tonights track. I am working late... I will be there on time for the race prolly in the middle of practice. We will see what happens. See you all tonight.

Good race everybody. Sorry to Parker on lap 19. I saw you coming up behind me and I got a phone call that I needed to answer so I braked and started to move over but I ended up just being in your way.

Goes to show what not practicing in a specific car does. I was running 2:22's during the day on the track without tire/fuel consumption on. Best I could manage during the race was 2:25's and I went off track on all of my qualifying laps. Next race I will be better prepared.

It was definitely a race won by consistency, especially once sedii and I took seperate paths in terms of pit strategy. Thankfully I was able to remain focused and when all pits were done, I was just in front of sedii, as I was when we first split ways. And then ultimately had much better tires to end the race with, finishing 6 seconds ahead. :) Pitted at the end of laps 13, 25, 37, and 49. Great race sedii and to all who entered, hope to have more show up next week.
