It certainly would. I read an article about the Richards/Skaife GT-R and apparently Fred Gibson wanted to build a few for the Japanese market but Nismo wouldn't allow it because it was quicker than anything they were producing.

I'm actually surprised it hasn't been included in any iteration of GT up to this point considering the impact it had not only on Australian motorsport but touring car racing in general

Maybe Nissan said that they couldn't put it in or they would walk away from the game :sly:. Nissan wouldn't wan't to get shown up by some low budget team in Australia when they throw millions at development in japan :P

Haha, maybe you're right. Although I think they must have had a descent budget, considering most of the parts were designed and manufactured specifically for that car. But you're right it would have been nothing compared to what Nismo were throwing at the Japanese spec cars.

Goes to show what you can achieve with a group of very talented drivers and engineers (Richards and Skaife played a big part in both aspects)

1989 Mustang 5.0
1981 Camaro Z/28
1987 Camaro Iroc-Z L98 5.7 L V8

2002 Jaguar S-Type R Supercharged AJ-V8

Please, ask any mod if anybody can help me with this, I can't count all the votes on my own. I can count only about 20 post per hour. I've reached post 111, and theres a LOT to go...

Please be comprehensive :indiff:

Thank you everybody for your co-op :)

Good night

Note: As many people has asked, I've removed the "more than 1 per car" rule, so from now on only 1 vote per car. People who voted more than once for each car is able to vote again.

Group A JTCC GTR's and the ATCC's cars were pretty much identical as per Group A Regulations.

The GTR won 50 races from 50 starts (91-97) and the original championship winning (eg. Godzilla) lives at Nissan's Yokohama plant in its original raced state.

Dents, chips etc. Its a wonderful sight to see ! Much like the Mazda 787B sitting at Mazda Museum in Hiroshima in the same condition.

Nismo and Gibsons had an open book policy hence Mr Nismo was at Bathurst for 1990 and was blown away with what Gibsons had achieved. I wouldn't say that the Gibson car was superior though. Performance figures on both cars are pretty much identical.

What is amazing is that Gibby's was producing cars at around the same level as the Nismo prepped cars. Though at the same time the two cars never raced each other so everything is speculation and hype.

Both breeds are simply amazing.

1 tip, use Excel if you are not already... copy paste = short work and you can normalize your data with find and replace and run a pivot table to build your top demand cars list easily.

That said here are my top 5

1. FIAT Abarth Grande Punto SS
2. Ariel Atom 2
3. Mazdaspeed MX-5
(really a few other MX-5's can get chucked out the window for this one car)
4. Subaru Alcyone SVX S4 '92
5. Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth '87

1. Ferrari 250 GTO '62
2. Koenigsegg CCXR '07
3. Shelby Daytona Cobra Coupe '64
4. Porsche Carrera GT '04
5. Duesenberg SSJ '35

Thanks man!

I have revised my votes IAW the rule change (one vote per person per car) and added some that I really should have had there in the first place!

There is an article in an old copy of mine of Aussie Muscle cars that went into some detail on this car, what an outstanding achievement!
It really does rightfully deserve its place within GT, particularly with PD's affection for skylines, and this one was the best at the time, and I believe started the name 'Godzilla' - can anyone correct me on that?

Mine. In order

Lamborghini Reventón '08 - Possibly the coolest looking car ever. Inside and out. Plus it's got exclusivity, speed, and it's a Lambo.
Ferrari FXX '05 - Great looking, fast and EXCLUSIVE!!!
Red Bull RB6 '10 - Just won the consructors AND the driver championship in this seasons F1.
SSC Ultimate Aero '06 - Cool looking and beastly fast.
Bugatti Veyron Super Sports '10 - Fastest current production car. I mean come on.
