It certainly would. I read an article about the Richards/Skaife GT-R and apparently Fred Gibson wanted to build a few for the Japanese market but Nismo wouldn't allow it because it was quicker than anything they were producing.
I'm actually surprised it hasn't been included in any iteration of GT up to this point considering the impact it had not only on Australian motorsport but touring car racing in general
Im in love with this thread. MODS please sticky this. PD really needs to see what we want.
Maybe Nissan said that they couldn't put it in or they would walk away from the game. Nissan wouldn't wan't to get shown up by some low budget team in Australia when they throw millions at development in japan

There is an article in an old copy of mine of Aussie Muscle cars that went into some detail on this car, what an outstanding achievement!Haha, maybe you're right. Although I think they must have had a descent budget, considering most of the parts were designed and manufactured specifically for that car. But you're right it would have been nothing compared to what Nismo were throwing at the Japanese spec cars.
Goes to show what you can achieve with a group of very talented drivers and engineers (Richards and Skaife played a big part in both aspects)
