Most intense fight scenes

As said above Ong Bak is a true masterpeice of Kickboxing action. and "The Killer" has some very nice senes. and who can forget, Versus, grousome and gory in parts but if your into zombie flicks this is a must.
I rented "Versus", long time ago. I was expecting it to be a movie based on video game or something..... I love zombie flicks, so I didn't mind it at all. :D

I seen Versus about 2 years ago. good film, seriously weird & Zombies with swords n guns!?? i dunno, but good.

Watched Ong-Bak yesterday, the fight scenes (alot of people seem to diagree with me) were terrible. Ok not terrible just un-imaginative and boring. The chase thru the alley ways was good, but they wernt really fights.

You do realise that there was nothing faked in that movie.. no strings, no plastic or chewing glass, no already-broken props.. I cracked up at the bar fight when the other guy was grabbing everything he could.. none of that was faked..

Realism makes fights alot more interesting. Imagine if the "million Smith" fight scene in Matrix:Reloaded was real, I mean with all real actors, though still with strings. You would appreciate the effort much more.

Once that scene changed to pure CG it got boring..

I never liked the fights in Reloaded they were terrible.
And yes i understand none of it is faked. But all you have to do is look at some old skool Jackie chan or Jet films to see the exact same style (no wires etc) & they are so much better eg Who Am i or Gorgeous.

And to be fair, that fight/chase down the alleys can hardly be called realistic. Would you do any of that in real life!? Ok that was very entertaining though!

They were unimaginative though. The ideas for most of the fights were nicked from other superior films. I dont deny the guy cant fight, he would kick anyones ass. He just maybe needs a better choreographer & camera work.

Ong-bak was terrible, I went to watch it with high expectations and even the fight scenes weren't worth it. The guy can't act, he shows no expression when he fights, and that ultimately lead to terrible fight scenes. I will give it to him for jumping over cars, but his fighting style was way to bland. I can't even believe this guy is being put up there with Jackie Chan. At least jc is fun to watch, and he lays his body on the line a lot. The stuff jackie does is way better than ong baks little jumps and elbows.

Ps, the guy elbows people a lot.

Ye there were alota elbows

He's a kickboxer.... :dopey:

Well, I think Transporter 1 had some great fight scenes.

Also, the ending fight in Fist of Legend was just sick.

Ah, so that's where you've been hanging out. OK, thanks for letting me know.

Drunken Master 2 had some pretty sick fight scenes. That mess under the train at the begining....my back would've snapped.

The anchorman war was better. It had everything, tridents, fire, other various sharp stuff and horses....

OMG, I forgot about that scene...that was really incredible...dudes walking aruond with a hand grenade in a street fight, hilarious ! :dopey: 👍 👍

What's funnier is what happens next, with will ferrel giving the guys a talking after one of them killed a guy lol. I laughed my ass off, plus I just kept using the dialogue from that scene in school.

Donnie Yen versus Jing Wu in SPL, an amazing Hong Kong action film that premiered last month in Toronto. the film will have its Hong Kong screening this November.

i know this is a old topic, but a great fight seen is in the movie KNOCK AROUND GUYS when VIN DIESEL beats up the guy in the bar. the sound effects are great and you can hear the guys bones crack when he hits him 👍

I plead you all, see Tom Yum Goong (Ong-Bak 2). I know i didnt like the 1st one, and i still dont much. But this film is absolutely amazing. Well the fights anyway.
Next to maybe Unleashed, these have to be my favourite bun-crunchingly brutal fights i've ever seen. There's one were he is fighting his way up the inside of a building, going up floor by floor on a spiral floor. & its all done in one shot, no cuts! he must have been dead after that. Then theres this fight that looks so Tekken inspired it should be illegal, but its amazing.
Its out on Import now some versions dont have English subs, my version dosent, but it dosnt really matter as half of its in English (set in Australia) anyway & its not exactly the most envolving plot ever. SEE IT!!

Oh & Knockaround guys is good.

I've seen the second movie (never saw the first) and i have to say that most of the fights were awesome. In particular the fight at the end with lots of those guys, it was so painfull to watch. You can constantly hear bones breaking, it's sick. I could never imagine that arms and legs could be broken in so many ways.

In general though, the movie is crap. I just watched it to see the fights.

I started watching "Band of Brothers" since over the weekend. I haven't seen this in so long, I've forgotten how good this series was, but my god, the battle scenes are better than most found in "Saving Private Ryan"!

The Anchorman fight was just hilarious!!

The one where Brick kills a guy with a trident?? I love that fight!!!👍

The most intense fight scene i can remember watching is probably with the Bride and Elle in Kill Bill V2
I also find the fight between Morpheus and Agent Smith in the toilet in the Matrix pretty intense too

I really didnt get Anchorman. It just wasnt funny. That fight was quite funny. But i dont think it should be in this thread somehow, its not exactly intense is it.

Elle vs The Bride was a very good/brutal fight

GTChamp2003

And why else would we watch a movie like that? Think about it...is there a movie with martial arts as its main action point that has a very strong plot? Nope! You watch it for the action, who cares about the plot?!? Plot is for dramas, fighting is for action! :)

Old Boy, the hammer scene
Ong Bak, MADDD DAWWWWGGG!

Should also mention The Young Master, some awesome stuff in that!

I honestly can't believe that the crappy matrix sequels are even being mentioned...
