The oil slick might have been just before that corner. Which would explain why everyone was getting sideways, the speed that the Ferrari slammed into the fence and the damage to cars before entering the corner.
I hope they stopped the race at that point to clean up the debris and take care of the oil or whatever was causing that craziness.

That could also be the case, well it's Macau mate... Anything can happen and every year there has always been something bizzare happened.
Seeing that again just makes me wish that someone would make a good V8 supercars game. Codemasters' F12011 isn't perfect, but it's the best F1 game on consoles. I wish a games company would take a chance and do justice to the V8's.

It's not a game, but there was a pretty good V8 Supercars mod for GTR2 that featured the 2008/9 season. I agree though, that a proper game is overdue.Seeing that again just makes me wish that someone would make a good V8 supercars game. Codemasters did make a V8 Supercars game under the title TOCA 3 Race Drivers (although in Germany it's sold under the name of DTM 3 and V8 Supercars 3 in Australia and New Zealand) which featured cars and drivers from Season 2004 or 2005. It wasn't as great as it should be with an unrealistic handling etc. but it was enjoyable to race as just like any other Codemasters racing titles....

One that sticks out for me doesn't involve any crashes; 1997 Detroit CART race when the Pacwest teammates, Mauricio Gugelmin and Mark Blundell, were running 1-2 and both run out of fuel on the last lap, gifting the win to Greg Moore

Pretty funny actually. Reminds me of this:
(best video I could find. Key event happens at 6:54)
Brumos Porsche ran out of gas on the home stretch and was coasting towards the checkered flag when the 2nd and 3rd place cars split him and steal the victory away in the closest Grand Am finish.
Yeah, it's not like the corner just appeared there at the start of the race. It was there all through practise too. It's not the track's problem, more like the drivers being too greedy...
