Carrying on with the Michael Schumacher theme: there's only one country's Grands Prix where he's never scored any points. Which is it?

Grosjean went through a torrid spell and has had at least 1 this year to boot. Massa too has got caught out on a number of occasions. 10 first lap retirements though, I don't expect there are many...

De Cesaris has the record for most DNFs (135 from 208 starts) so I suspect he might be up there. Maybe Dereck Warwick and Jonathan Palmer too.

Statistically, I only see two options; long time racers, like Alonso, Prost et al, or guys unlucky enough to be running for a horribly underperforming team.

Michael Schumacher? I think he retired from his debut due to a clutch problem in the first lap, and then there was the 2010 Abu Dhabi GP when he got ran into by Liuzzi.

Which was Alonso, both "then" and now :D

Hmm, also a good possibility I reckon...

And he got wiped out in 2 consecutive first lap crashes in 2000.

My guess is Jarno Trulli. I remember reading about this statistic in some book of F1 records, and he was one of the leading drivers, even though his career wasn't yet even over when the book was released.

De Cesaris has to be among them, he's had 208 starts.

I found the source for this, since I needed to know... (I hope @Jimlaad43 doesn't mind me doing this)

Grosjean - 5, Massa - 7

De Cesaris - 12 (3rd most), Palmer and Warwick - 3 each
Alonso must be up there...

Barrichello is another potential for me.
13 - 2nd most

7 (the same number as his brother)

14 (top scorer!)
My guess is David Coulthard - reasonable long career, with a portion of it not so great cars
I was close - he is one of 4 drivers with 9.

One answer to come...

In 1981 I witnessed Andrea de Cesaris (McLaren) crashing out of the Long Beach GP on lap 1.
In 1982, I witnessed de Cesaris (Alfa Romeo) qualifying on pole and leading the race.

At the 1982 Long Beach event, I saw Manfred Winkelhock's contact on lap 1. He completed the lap but stopped on lap 2.

At Dallas in 1984, I was there when Francois Hesnault spun his Ligier into the wall on lap 1.
