At first glance I thought this was pinpointing S'pore, so the circuit would be either Marina Bay or the defunct Thompson Road circuit, but the tack is actually located north of the city-state. Is it the Johor Circuit?
We've already had that answered, and it is yes.

It's your go, mate, go on then.

I'll throw another coffee-break question in, @Kingofweasles still needs to post a full question though :D

I'm silver. Why is this important?

Are we hinting at the alleged rumour that it was to save weight? German cars previously were bright white as per national racing colours, which were later unofficially scrapped.

Absolutely. Wiki notes (uncited) that;

Wiki
...it since has been proven that already in 1932 at the AVUS, v. Brauchitsch had raced a SSKL covered with streamline aluminium sheets, which had been described as a silver arrow by the media. Besides, both German rounds were run to Formula libre rules to attract more entries.

Nonetheless, the legend is that this car was the birth of the Silver Arrows even if the SSKL was actually the first all-naked-aluminium race Merc.

Quick quiz

Jim Clark won this Grand Prix the most times (4). And the first of these was the his first ever Formula One victory.
The only American winner of this Grand Prix was Eddie Cheever.
The Last Frenchman to win was Romain Grosjean in 2006.
The Last F1 world champion to win this race was Lewis Hamilton.

Name the Circuit.

Must be going back to F3 or GP2 days for RG and LH... I'd have to Wiki it (which is cheating) so I'm out :D

Quirky Mexican GP and we will soon have a Brazilian GP

1981-1982-1983 Brazilian Grand Prix was held at Rio's Jacarepaguá circuit.

For three consecutive years something strange happened to the drivers who crossed the line second place...

They didn't get soaked in Champagne by the eventual race winner on the podium.

In 1981 Alan Jones crossed the line in 2nd place and was upset when his faster team mate (Carlos Reutemann) ignored team orders to take the win. Jones was so ... unhappy he missed the podium ceremony.

In 1982 Keke Rosberg crossed the line in 2nd place. During the Podium Ceremony, Piquet collapsed so was in no condition to spray any bubbly as the podium ceremony dispersed. (both Piquet and Rosberg were later Dsiqualified for running rules loophole water ballast tanks)

In 1983 when Keke crossed the line in 2nd place he was quickly disqualified. His car caught on fire in the pits and he jumped out of the car - the fire was put out but he received a push start, which resulted in the Race Stewards just scrapping 2nd place all together, leaving just 3rd placed Niki Lauda and Race winner Nelson Piquet on the podium. So no one ever finished in 2nd place in the 1983 Brazilian GP.

At which F1 event did Senna pass another driver on the outside of T1? Year and track.

(information may be a bit off, heard this trivia from a coworker who's an F1 nut)

I know Piquet slipped it around the outside of Turn One at Budapest (You know the track no one can pass at) of Senna in 1986... Sideways opposite lock - all the good stuff. (But that wasn't the question!)

but Senna passing on the outside into turn 1... Was it raining?

That I do not know. It's more recent than 1986 though.

Edit: I'm sorry, the information I was given was wholly inaccurate and the question is moot. I can't find anything to confirm it. You did get the turn 1 fact right with the 1986 event, which I just watched on Yiutube (ballsy move).

Your question, Ryk.

A Bit of American Trivia here - though part of the F1 championship of the time so without further a do...

Which winner of the Indianapolis 500 never had his name engraved onto the Borg-Warner Trophy...

All I know is that Johnnie Parsons, winner of the 1950 Indy 500, was misspelled as Johnny Parsons. After Parson's death in 1991 the idea of correcting the misspelling was thrown around, but ultimately it was decided to keep it.

All you know is the correct answer!
- Oddly Johnnie's Son ... Johnny Parson raced a few times at the Brickyard but was unable to get a cheeky Bottle of Milk like his dad.

IIRC he didn't qualify for the Indy much. Apparently Lead Foot Syndrome is not hereditary!

So... In 2013, a new(ish) team was born from the unlikely collaboration of a world-famous actor (which our American friends will likely know about) and a world-famous athlete (which our American friends may not know at all).
But I can't recall who those celebrities where, or in which championship(s) did this team race, or if they got any notable results in their single year of collaboration. Hell, they even got a class win in Hunter Thompson and Chuck Norris favorite motorsport event!
