Would it be Nissan, perchance? I seem to remember him racing one at Bathurst at some point...

Because he was looking to save his race team (rebranded advantage racing after the split from holden) he had an opportunity to promote the cars made by Lada

TheBigMan is correct, Peter Brock did in fact promote the Lada brand in Australia, in particular the Samara (however he never raced them). The former Holden Dealer Team factory was used to modify the Samara so it could meet Australian regulations.

Other brands that Brock either raced for or promoted were Ford, BMW (as mentioned by Liquid in an earlier guess), Volvo and Peugeot.

I'll give you that one....it was the B191B chassis, Barnard tried to use the same system he developed at Ferrari but found difficulties in syncing it with the electronics of the Ford engine

I've got one, and I'm sure it's pretty easy.

During the Cold War, the FIA held an F1 race in the Eastern Bloc for the first time. What race was it, and who won it?

That was the Hungarian GP of 86 won by Piquet no?

I know it seems the obvious choice but it is all I can think of.

Hmm. Eastern bloc. I don't think Finland has hosted a GP...

Edit: Ah, looks like haitch has got it.

Yvan Muller made his debut as a factory driver for Audi in 1997 as a one-off entry for that year's BTCC-Supported RAC Tourist Trophy, which was held at Silverstone(?). His performance in that race (Which was split in three heats) led him to land a full-time works drive with Audi the following year...

Bringing this back.

Which German driver currently races but has not completed a full season since 2008?
