I don't like the ZEN MP3 players, they just seem 'low quality' compared to an I-Pod
What an oxymoron.

You do realize that a 'low quality' Creative ZEN actually uses better materials than an iPod?

I've got a Creative Zen. My brother has a Samsung and my sister has an iPod so I've used a range and I definitely prefer mine. iPod's have more features, but the battery life sucks and that's the most important thing for me. I barely ever have to charge my Zen. Also if I bought an iPod I'd have to change the earphones. They're bear plastic and so uncomfortable!

I'm still old skool myself. I use these:

Sony MDR-700 DJ headphones (£120 or approx $180 when brought)

Sony MZ-N1 Minidisc Walkman (£325 or approx $488 when brought)

I had a generic 512MB MP3 player...but somebody stole it from my locker. I found out who stole it though, took care of the situation, later to find out that they sold it off for $15 :(

Aaaaaaaannnnnnnnnd.........why is sandisk mystyriously absent from the list?? :odd:

Anyways, I have a 512mb Sandisk I like it. Wish I could have gotten the 2gig one though.

i have a Sigmatel MCSN 128mb mp3 player, only cheap and not much memory, but plenty for me, survived a battery leak, being stepped on, and going through the wash twice!, but still works good as new. (At least going through the wash makes it look clean and new again:lol:)

i plan to get a psp which can be used as a video i-pod

B-b-b-b-BUMP! :D Daan, I searched for almost the exact same title, and came up with nothing... and I'm not a n00b. :grumpy:

I have a SanDisk Sansa e250R, its really a great mp3 player, better than a nano, seeing as it has FM, recorder, videos, but no games, but who ever plays brickout on the nano? :D

If you're not a n00b you'd know that MP3, at only 3 characters, is not a valid search term. You have to look, and the thread I found was only on page 4 of the elctronics forum.

On topic.

I've now got a 20GB Sony Walkman

Its a great player. Sound quality and battery life are both great, but the Sony Connect software is the worst software package known to man.

I use my K750i. Chucked a 1 GB card in it and I've been fine. While a larger memory would be nice (Though expansion is simple and relatively cheap) I wouldn't really use it enough.

@daan- I searched Mp3 players, what mp3 player do you have, do you have an mp3 player... etc. I don't think i'm too big of a nub.

On topic: Good to see you finally got a decent player, those Archos ones were really funny looking. :D

Only just noticed this thread, for me its a nice little Creative Zen V (1gig). Nice and small and as I tend to change the content around a lot 1 gig has always been fine for me.

Sound quality is very good and its nice and easy to use with an excellent screen.

I happen to think it look great as well.

I'd have to re-vote here, since I've retired the old muvo and now use my phone with a $15 512 MB SD card and $2 headphone adapter as a MP3 player.

Just retired and selling my old 6GB Ipod mini and have replaced it with an 80GB Ipod, very nice peice of kit, feels lovely to hold, cant wait for tomorrow's train rush to give it a road test.

Exactly what I do now with my K800i. I just can't be bothered to charge my iPod anymore (it didn't come wih a proper power adaptor, and I keep forgetting to trickle charge it over USB).

Even though I have a 2gb card for my N95 I still bring my iRiver H320 with me. I just like having my entire music collection on me I guess, and the sound quality is much better.
