I'm not a vette fan but at least with the c6 or c7 they felt like corvettes with a rich history behind them,

These car doesn't.

...and that hasn't changed, at all? What the **** does this even mean? Apparently the rich, 50+ year history of the Corvette means nothing because of an admittedly polarizing design?

I didn't even think of looking for a second one considering I was surprised to see the 1, the sad thing is I probably looked right at it considering where it's parked.

I was just walking by on the road and I spotted the blue car with a small crowd around it.

And it looks much like the C7 except in mid-engine format with a Camaro rear-end.

Here's another:

I guess that's one problem with being surrounded by nice cars, you tend to ignore them after awhile. Like the 600LT camped out in the carousel all weekend.

At least one of us spotted it.

Either that or a Gray Metallic one IMHO.
Speaking on gray cars, I was saddened during a morning run back from a quarry. Nothing but silver and white cars. Really bad that these colors are chosen for better resale value. Not just that these are the only colors available or sometimes at no extra cost.

Wasn't that long ago Falcons and Commondores were available in bright greens, yellows, purples, oranges. There's probably a thread about car color choices, but it's good to see the Corvette available in bright hues. Supra has a couple, and Chrysler offer a few, but I think if Manufacturers "forced" some very nice colors on consumers, having a colourful car could be the no again. Just look at the 1950s and 1960s.

Yup, older muscle cars, like the ones from 70s, have one of the colors that form a rainbow e.g purple Challenger, yellow Camaro, red Mustang etc.

I just don't think they'll stand out after a long time though. On the other hand, metallic ones do age better, I think. And I'm sure this gray of the C7 should also fit the C8 very well.

So...my money's on a C2 (maybe a C3 since they seem to be getting more traction with C2 builds becoming bellybuttons) as the first LT2 swap candidate, but I wonder how reversible the intake is to better accommodate the FR layout.

Oh and just to again touch on the advantages of the "obsolete" OHV engine--and this will certainly be of benefit when it comes to swapping--here's the LS3 next to a Coyote:

Veering a little bit off-topic, but here are a couple more visual aids.

The second generation Hemi, produced only in the 426ci displacement, earned the nickname "elephant motor" by virtue of its size. This one sits lower than the mod next to it (rather top-heavy with that big Mooneyham), but neither appears to be any closer to the camera lens.

And there's a reason the LS is such a popular swap into Miatas, a reason illustrated fairly well here.

You're crazy. Someone will crash a C8 specifically so they can justify pulling the engine to put in a Fiero.

I wouldn't kick one out of bed.

It was a head on collision. What does that have to do with the engine? :odd:
A whole lot of people said that the MR Fakevette was "necessary" because the FR layout was dangerous and blablabla. I made a joke on how crashes aren't caused by engine layouts.
