I'd save the money on the vest (you could experiment or/make your own from the Dayton Pucs perhaps).
Putting the money towards getting a bigger BK unit for proper low end power/immersion might be more enjoyable.

For me I noticed with running 4x429 while good and having nice strength from them.
Yet even with only currently using 2x of my LFE operating on the seat , but damn they totally add a new dimension.

In testing this was highlighted as some effects settings for low end frequencies just do not get represented well enough, even with the excessive priced TST429 costing $549. For me personally their is no substitute for a large BK unit given specific role for low end frequency boost. This is what they are good at no doubts about it.

Others that use a BK Advance or LFE if they are using it well to do such in Simvibe would I assume agree it brings more realism in the energy to kerbs/impacts and even low end engine grunt.

Yeah, the vest is not a serious investment here, it was very cheap second hand so out of curiosity I give it a try. It's not really compatible with my geko seat, so if it shows any interest I will probably modify the seat straps with Dayton pucks as you said.

BK's are out of reach for now. That's why I'll experiment with the diy from subs.

Well hoping you are getting excited for your soon to be shipped wee parcel....

Nothing new to share from you d.i.y tactile guys with any progress?

WEIRD?
Simvibe "Settings Mode" car diagram "TEST"
I couldn't find an answer.

I have tired several times with re-installing the software and also Simvibe itself. Using Windows 10. When I click for the rear channels they operate with the front. Yet I have Windows set to quadraphonic, have the soundcard set with no other additional stuff and is configured for 4 speakers only.

Is this normal?
Effects are coming out the rear when in games but I just want to be sure I am not getting duplicated STEREO or need to find a solution/card that operates properly.

No it's not correct.

1.Do you have only one sound card and use it for simvibe instead of sound?
2 normally you should have two or three soundcards, two for simvibe (CM &EM) and one for your sound. Your sound though could be through hdmi to amp/tv etc so on board and 2nd card could be enough.
Anyhow, all of your sound devices have separate settings so :
Have your main sound output at whatever setup you use...stereo, surround, whatever. It sure ain't quadrophonic.
Have your other two devices that you will use for simvibe as quadrophonic, and make sure you have connected to the correct exits(green and black normally) your mini jacks.
Your test to check correct connections could be two ways: from the windows sound settings if you set the quadrophonic then if you test your speakers, each connected shaker should vibrate individually.
The same should be inside simcommander test under settings.
If you get simultaneous vibrations its not correct settings, almost certainly under Windows settings, simcommander should not have to do with it.
Hope I helped.

Okay I asked because it seemed weird during monitoring that "rear" constantly seemed the same as "front" effects. I thought with GRID2 it was maybe just the way it was but I was doing early tests last night with DIRT and knew it cant be right. I know from past research this is common if windows is set to STEREO but it isn't.

Did the speaker test within the soundcards own software and it has the issue of not properly outputting Quadraphonic for for 4 speakers/shakers. Must double check cables as I did switch the roles of my amps one evening and I use two separate distribution/duplicator prior to amplification boxes but usually I am very careful in double checking such things. Could be error on my part with cables coming from the distributors.

Xonar DGX (inc latest drivers) Chassis Card - Set to Quadraphonic Mode = YES
Green Black as per instructions = YES
Green = Front into Multichannel Input
Black = Surround into Multichannel Input

My on-board is used for EM but can also handle independent game audio via digital out.

Believe I discovered the problem, did a restore point to a previous setting recently.
Removed the device rebooted added driver rebooted again and then added software. Back to normal with 4 independent channels working which I confirmed within the monitoring DAW.

Tip to anyone regards the Simvibe Test
It allows you to select a frequency for the test tone.

Please note this is not outputting only that frequency. So it is not a good way to try and test how exact frequency tones, eg 40Hz may feel like.

Best to do this via online test tone generators discussed here previously or specific software like the one found here or I quite like this one.
