Mustanng's GMC build

That's fine. But I wonder what you'd call the Mk.3 Supra Turbo or Lexus GS, then.

Erm, elephants? You'll have to excuse my dislike of heavy cars. I'm not much of a fan of Cadillac, for example, for that reason. I'll always like the small AWD/FF/FR cars most. Like the ST205 Celica, and...

I must have found the holy grail. They're everywhere around here.

Where? I must plan a visit. I love G20s.

How is any of this helping Mustang GT to pick a car?

I've said my piece, which is that AWD cars tend to be heavy, compared to the Miatas and MR2s mentioned earlier in the thread. Lexus is even heavier, but it's RWD - which, in itself, leads to fun.

I appreciate the feedback guys!

Desired purpose of car: decently quick, fun to drive DD. I'm going to be sport bike less for a little bit because of this so I need to get my fun fix regularly. Rear wheel or all wheel are both good to me, I just don't like fwd in the least. Must be a manual. I drive an auto truck I'm leaning towards keeping and rebuilding now. New car needs that third pedal!

I saw that Flyin Miata has a turbo kit for 3k thatll put down 180hp at the rear wheels....

Miatas are fun. My stock one handles almost just as well as my S13. But I have no clue about the NAs. 3K seems like a bit much for such a small HP gain.

If you plan to turbo a car, maybe you can find a lower mileage S13. They make ISIS turbo kits under 2K that can get you up to 300HP. Plus S13s have more torque. More torque= more fun.

Either a Miata or S13, you will have to look for ones with LSD.

If you want to go American, might as well go Foxbody.

I had no clue about the s13 kit being that "affordable", that's not bad at all. And that's for the full kit, everything needed to install and drive away?

There's a few s13s locally, I'm just afraid of finding all the ragged out examples

Eh I'll get out figured out

Then there's the other part in my head telling me to save a little longer so i can keep my bike, and buy a 4x4 crew cab f150, or Bronco. Too many choices right now!!

Choices narrowing fast... almost blew the motor in the truck on start up due to dying oil pump. Anyone see anything interesting (if they want to look?) on the Sarasota craigslist? Cheaper is better now

I'm gathering some information on this '92 F150 5.0 4x4. Seems like a decent truck thus far, but it's 2 hours away.

Guy wants 1750 OBO. It's a 92, got a '95 5.0 in it, mileage unknown, 208k on the body. I'd pay about $1300 if the front end shakes down alright. But even then, it's a long way away from home, about 2 hours

Alright, well ole blue is listed for sale. My sport bike is also for sale. Got paid and my tax return... It's go time! Just gotta find something

The F150 1 post up sold. Probably for the better, there's better things I can find

The probably bought aftermarket or painted everything. There was a "Nite Special" version that had a blue/purple stripe down the side with a decal but that's not present on this one so either they swapped parts or had the body repainted.

Get a nice 70s truck if you want a truck. You won't be disappointed and gas mileage won't be any worse.

They claim it was a Nite edition. It has all the proper body parts except the graphics, so it's plausible.

My mind still keeps coming back to OBS trucks. And 5.0 mustangs. It's like I want to do something different, but already love what I have. I clearly need a raise, so I can afford truck, car, and bike :D

So I watched my truck drive away this morning. Come home and see this on craigslist...

89 5.0 leveled 4x4 on 31s. But stock wheels.

Either way, too far away, just found it interesting

Going out tomorrow to some of the local lots to see what might be around. Wish me luck!

31s are stock IIRC, or are one of the stock sizes. 32s are stock on F250s.

You should seriously look into a getting an older one. You can get a real nice one for about $5k.
