The system is just so expensive and they don't make a bolt on kit for a lowered Blazer, my exhaust system will be a pain in the ass to run because of low clearance between the frame and the rear axel.

Spin Tech mufflers are the closest to an open pipe at high rpm's, but they quiet down a lot when you are idling.

Everyone typically does Flowmasters or Magnaflow, both of which don't flow as well as a Spin Tech, and the Spin Tech will be quieter than them at idle (but a lot louder at high rpms).

Is there an exhaust system that lets you open and close the silencer so that for example, if Im taking out my girlfriend I can close the silencer so that it would be quiet, but when Im alone I can open up the silencer so it would be loud as I want?

You can get bolt on block off plates, but the thing is you have to climb under the car to take them off. There are also electrically operated dumps, but they run about $300 (pretty expensive).

I know the 4th gen Camaro had a system with multiple plate with hole of varying sizes that allow one of the dual pipes to be through the muffler and the other to vary between straight through and degrees of closure.

Hmm....so its expensive then :indiff: that would be a neat idea to put on many cars, isnt it?

The 4th gen Camaro is crazy! The system is factory stock right?

Yeah, I'd cut up my exhaust for an electrically operated dump in the blink of an eye if it wasn't such an outrageous price.

Oh no, I wasn't clear, the system is some aftermarket one (Borla I think), the stock system has a single pipe into a muffler into duals. 4g Camaro is nuts nevertheless :)

Oh but still - its good to know that such things exist.

The 4th Gen Camaro = one badass car!

He has a factory 6 fast installed and he plans on fitting 4 turbonators.

Most recent pics from cruising on Friday night. I know they are a tad artsey but I didn't take them.

Here is an updated view of the truck, it's about as exciting as watching golf...senior tour golf...:ill:

Anywho in attempts to make it interesting here are some "cool" shots.

pretty sweet truck. at least the nicest extreme i have seen. you should clean up the engine bay with a power washer 👍 then matte black the whole thing. but that would be alot of work. the results would be very neat though. a very clean looking stock.

Ehhhh I never really pop that hood, I'm more embarassed by the engine then proud of it. It's got about as much power as one of those electric scooters driven by an old guy.

At one time I tossed around the idea of a V8, but then I realized the truck wasn't meant to go fast. Although I have ridden in Blazers with V8's one even packing a Corvette LS1 under the hood, and I will not lie, it was fast.

Maybe one day, who knows, I am the unknown.

what kind of power does it make? is it a 4.0?

It's a 4.3L making a claimed 190hp and 250 lb.ft, I highly doubt those numbers though, I thinking it's closer to 160hp.
