Actual trial starts on november 5th. However long that takes.

If we lose the trial, the firm that stepped in ( www.ij.org) will appeal and go further if need be. They have been responsible for aome law changes by pishing cases up to the supreme court level.

I cannot say to much as i dont kniw what i can and cannot say :)

But anyone reading who is a property owner or business owner within the states should research "Civil Assett Forfeiture". You would be shocked that these laws exist. When fighting the us govt in a CAF case, It is not the governments burden to prove your property is guilty, it is yours to prove innocence.

I hope all went well today Caz. Keep us updated, this is a very important case.

Not sure :) im not at court. Sticking around to keep things square at the motel. My piece of the puzzle :)

Awwww, come on. What did your lawyer have to say about how it went?

As a federal employee myself, I have to say that this - and the radical environmentalists - are the main reasons I'll never vote for anyone but a conservative or viable libertarian again. This government is just too full of people who think they know better than we do how to run our lives, and if Obamacare becomes fully implemented, will know better whether or not we should LIVE!

Many liberals should just be honest enough to wear a Chinese flag lapel pin.

Best of luck and God bless, Caz.

Hello Friends! I went to the trial today. The Government has rested its case, which was a lot faster than expected. It was interesting to watch the testimony of the witnesses, who all said the same thing: "All the hotels are on my patrol, I just so happened to come by and I arrested this person, everyone that I interacted with at the Motel was very cordial and I have a good relationship with all the hotel personnel I work with in Tewksbury." Once the Government was finished, the judge asked, "So if a drug deal happens in the parking lot of a Dunkin' Donuts or McDonalds, then that makes it possible for the property to be forfeited?" The questions the judge asked were very good and I think she saw right through the Government's nonsense case. So -- if you would like to go to the trial and haven't been able to yet, go tomorrow, as tomorrow will be the last day. The defense started calling witnesses today and will begin again tomorrow at 10 AM. The trial is being held on the 5th floor, Courtroom 15. Hope to see you there!

Indeed good luck. I imagine this will be appealed either way though, so it's a long road. But a positive decision will make your life easier in the meantime.

All the best for you and your family Caz. Hope common sense prevails here.

Cheers Shaun.

Lol :) still playing the waiting game on the judges decision. A dismissed decision this close to turkey day would be pretty sweet tho!

Keep us informed caz. I tried to send you a pm to see how it went a couple of days ago but your inbox is full.
Fingers crossed.

Cheers Shaun.
