Well done:lol: I found the Enzo on Sports Hards quite fun at the 'Ring. Still slight understeer, but not the plowing tractor it was in GT5. Now it's more of a "hold on for dear life" kind of ride:lol:

Try the Zonda C12 and the 7.3. Shift early to keep it in the peak of the power band. The 7.3 was 12/1000ths faster than the Enzo for me at the 'Ring but a completely different feel.
The Enzo is much tamer here than it was in GT5 IMO. My best lap back then was 7:11, it's a much more viable supercar this time.

I'm a bit low on cash (After spending 2mil on an R18).

So my latest idea was to build a replica of my real car.

I own a civic aerodeck vti '00.

It has the engine (detuned) and gearbox (different ratios but same LSD) as the dc2 integra type r, and also shares the same suspension (double wishbone front and multi link rear)

So I took an integra type r, pegged back the power to 169bhp, added 200kg of ballast to the rear to make 1280kg with a 55:45 weight distribution. Then I looked up the gear ratios, and put them in.

Straight to the Nordschleife on CM and my god, it's a bit weird how similar this replica feels to my car on the limit.

It reinforces how slow my car is in reality, coming in at 380pp, but it's got excellent balance. I'm going to try it on all the different comfort tyres and make up my mind what feels closest to my michelin pilot sport 2's.

Going to get alot of mileage out of this car.

Planning on building a 'dream mods' version of my ideal daily driver. Mid range turbo running about 250-300 but should be about right :gtpflag:

Anyone else built a replica, or got their own actual car available in game? How's it compare?

Oh, ran a 9:10 on my first lap with a few offs and a spin, with traffic (infinite laps on arcade race, my own private track day), would be great to go under 9 minutes in it.

I had my old Nissan 200SX14A duplicated with excact spec on camber, toe, transmission, weight and power output, and it felt just right in GT5, that car is long gone and sold now, so I haven't done the same in GT6, but maybe I should since I know my best laptimes between bridge to gantry :-)

Just built my dream daily.

Added racing soft suspension, ecu, Intake, manifold, sports exhaust, twin plate clutch and mid range turbo.

Exactly the same overall balance, just slightly lower, slightly stiffer, and much faster.

May have cemented my ideas for my real car as this is an absolute hoot!

Needed to add CS though as the wheel spin on mediums was a bit of an issue.

Ran a 8:02 on my first lap, this will easily go under 8 minutes.

Beautiful.

In case you haven't seen it, there's a cool time trial thread for comparing your real life car in GT6, including doing a lap on the 'Ring, here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/bring-your-real-life-car-autocross-and-time-attack.294265/
👍

I tried to replicate my Civic EK4 with a EK9 lowered the power to 135bhp etc, drives still better in the game though, because the EK9 has stock already way better Brakes and Suspension. Tried it on the ring as comparison but feels still different from the real one. At least was a try to get it as Close as possible:)

 Nurburgring there is no pp or tire i can't run in the must amazing track in the world for me at-least.:gtpflag:

if there is anything i like to do the must is to help others, and share the knowledge i have on Gran Turismo thanks to this track. my youtube channel will be dedicated to it and my website GT6CLUB.Homestead.com is use to help out tuning and Nurburgring racing.

After watching the DTM footage, I couldn't help but blow 1.2mil on a merc 2.5 E DTM car.

Racing hards, with the camber removed, rear toe reduced to - 0.10 and ext up one click front and rear. Abs 0 with brake balance of 6:9

Great fun.

Fast enough to be scary in places. Swedishcross is flat out, 160 mph, slight lift but it's possible without the lift. Bloody hairy though!

This car is just amazing fun.

Please give it a go if you have the spare 1.2mil, it's the best mil+ car I have bought so far, for pure enjoyment.

I prefer Audi so the TT is on my list. Either way sounds like a good time! 👍

Absolutely epic.

In truth I wanted the alfa, but 4wd:tdown:

Wanted the FR thrill, hopefully the E30 gets in!

Here's some recent pics from the green hell

I have fell in love with the nurb again, having a blast in my integra:D
I might up load pics tomorrow;)
I just went under 9 minutes in my dc2 based civic aerodeck replica. 8:52:xx

It will go under 8:50 aswell, but I'm on the edge for the whole lap, and the small mistakes add up.

I've got some pics to post of the replica and the merc 2.5 E, I'll get them up soon.

Some interesting pics of the teg under full extension and compression with what appears to be a dynamic camber change at both extremes. Negative camber at full compression, and positive at full extension.

I know a few guys were unsure as to whether gt6 modeled this sort of camber change. Will post those pics in the camber theory thread.

I've been out for while, but I'm back. My experience with my car is that in the game has a very very soft suspension system. You have to stiff some of the parameters to make it work like in real life. Comfort hards are quite similar to my pilot sport 3, but in the game they are a little bit grippier. The brakes in the game are a little bit too efficient, even compared to my 4 pistons AP Racing. But, besides this little adjustments, the behaviour of the car is so real in GT6 that is like driving my very own cupra there. The way the weight transfers is like how I remember it. Even the top speed that I reach in some points it's the same as IRL. So, after the disappointment of GT5 related to my car, GT6 is a big surprise. They even updated the exterior and "premiumize" it. As a result, I'm pretty glad with the work that they have done with my car.

I've dropped the brake balance to 0:0, and it feels much better (scarier)

I'm happy with comfort mediums, hards are a little too much like hard work lol.

My vti has quite soft suspension as standard, so the standard dc2 suspension feels right (although too soft for a type r, perfect for my application)

Never had so much fun with such a slow car on GT before, I can't wait to get out to the Nordschleife with it IRL now.

I think that something between comfort soft and mediums should be the most accurate in order to represent my real life tires. I'll follow your advice and try to reduce the braking power, but I think that the extra amount of braking in the game is more related with the grippier tires than with the strength of the brakes.

Again, I encourage you to plan a small trip to the green hell. I won't go this year and I'm kind of missing it.

Sounds like a great recommendation. What's the PP the way you have it set up?

I'm not sure to be honest mate. I think it's around 375bhp.

I literally just changed the camber, toe and dampers (I've gone one click softer on comp aswell now) and hit the Nordschleife, didn't pay any attention to PP, didn't even do an oil change, but I'll look next time I'm on.

BTW: in GT6 I love to drive small cars around the Nordschleife, and GT6 have the same Clio RS which I will race this season in VLN / RCN. I try to duplicate it in GT6 and compare. Other small cars as Swifts, hatchbacks etc are great fun to drive, both in real and GT6. In real with experience and track knowledge, you will drive by many with high end sportcars there, and at the same time drive a car with easy handling and good cornerspeeds.

Dream car championship- Honda Integra DC5 Type R- Nurburgring
562pp vs. 706 pp
Anddddd, I win!:D
I am the the Integra tamer! ;)
Back on topic, did a 7.39.58 in my integra today on the nurb:) pretty happy with it:)

What specs was the 7:39 done with? Tyres and PP?

My 280bhp dc2 will go under 8 minutes on CS, not done it yet, but my first lap with it was a 8:02 or something like that, was a very sloppy lap though with atleast one big off so a low 7:50 should be possible on CS.

Bone stock performance is 519pp @ 376Bhp @ 980kg

You can add a high rpm turbo for 580pp @ 585bhp, this turns it into a nutter, and makes for a much more lively experience. You need to play with the diff if you want it to feel similar to the stock car.

Been running it at bathurst today and it really works with the track, need the high rpm turbo to make the triple left before the downhill scary, but my god this car is still fun.

Honestly, probably my favourite car so far for pure fun.

As long as it's safe, and Mr F1 isn't buying it, I don't really care who gets it.

I've been getting some funny looks from friends, that have never heard of the place, but I'm excitedly telling them that the nurburgring has been bought, and that the future looks good.

Then go on to explain what the hell it is, and be genuinely offended that they don't care.

I need more car buddies.
