1992 Nissan Skyline GTR:
Current mods done:
Custom 600x300x100 (23.6"x11.8"x4") front mount I/C
Trust Racing Stainless downpipes 2 1/4"
Trust Power Extreme 3 3/4 Stainless exhaust
Greedy Profec B boost controller
Custom Chipped ECU
1 kg of boost (14.8psi)
2400lb single plate paddle clutch.
Best current time 11.82 @ 112mph Full street trim including spare wheel and all tools full interior.

I was launching at 7,000 rpms

Do you have any pictures of your car, or one that looks similar to it? Have you ever had it dyno'ed, and do you have any dyno slips?

An 11.8 seems pretty damn good for only having basic performance upgrades like exhaust, downpipe, boost controller, etc.👍

I think it's time to do a little weight reduction, throw on some drag radials, or slicks, add some race gas, crank up the boost, and then tell us what you run.:P

That's a good time! Very good time, in fact. I'm jealous, now. :P

Since I am not the greatest at the net well actually I need to read better. I had to shrink them down. For some reason Netfirms is giving me a stiff middle finger so i can't ftp the up and hotlink full sized images that are nice and clear.

yes I have dynoed it and the car is making 363hp at all four wheels. The uploading will be slow so bare with me while GTforums allows this to happen.
I was also getting 1.68 second 60' times which is not bad for it being bloated with weight :)

Me against a good mate's S13 silvia.

A nice close of up of how hard a GTR can launch with street tyres. Umm yes if your not sitting back in the seat it HURTS.

Ok now for a demo of what happens when I give a newbie a ride of their life in the car. In this photo note his head position.

Heating up the tyres is very important so with the help of a little 2wd bypass switch I bake them up at 65mph while sitting still in second gear for about 10 sec.

Ok for a long distance shot from the timing tower. I got the best burnout of the day and killed my tyres lol

And last but surely never least the results of my tyre warming effort lol.
Guys all day tried to beat it but never got the smoke amount or the distance without holding the breaks on. As you can see I released them and left just over 130 feet of marks ROTFLMAO :mischievous:

I hope you guys enjoy them :)

Cheers mate. Yea she comes out of the hold very hard considering I am still spinning all 4 wheels slightly and will haze the rears. I drilled every car on the day even the EVO off the line.

I will endevour to update my site one day though. I am waiting to get back to the tuners for another tuning since I've gotten the front mount done, which should put me up a bit more but not much until I do the turbos and injectors as I am about maxed out on them both right now. Any more increases will be via ignition timing only.

Thanks but we can not run slicks on our cars here until you have a full cage and certs. I am not going to get more out of it until I change the turbos and injectors though. The GTR factory has ceramic turbos and running more than a bar can snap the exhaust wheel off quite easily. I agree about the weight though I am a firm believer in running your car as you would drive it day to day as that is a true measurement of its performance.

It's ok. You have to remember here in New Zealand Sklines are about as popular as Corvettes in the states. Outside of Japan we have the highest consintration of them.

how much did that skyline cost you? I'm thinking of selling some of my organs I dont need..... or have two of and can live with only one....how much does a kidney go for nowadays? lol seriously tho once I get out of pharmacy school and get my signing bonus I'm going straight to Motorex and putting a down payment on a bayside blue R34 -Vspec II :)

I paid aprox $14,000 USD for her :) So far I have put in stuff all out of pocket for the upgrades.

Front mount $500 usd paid wholesale price :D
Chipped ECU $0 for doing odd jobs for the tuners :D:D:D
exhaust system, Trust pods, adaptors, boost controller came with the car I only had them fitted.

I believe Japan is the only country cheaper in car yard selling prices.

In US dollars here is a round about price. Bare in mind on condition and milage.

G32 GTR $14,000
R33 GTR $24,000
R34 GTR $48,000

As far as good times on basic mods you would be suprised at the performance gains you get just from ecu work. Nissan developed one heck of an ecu but detuned it so much for longevity and to keep to the gentlemens agreement of 280ps. Most of the remapping is in fuel delivery and ignition timing.
The intake and exhaust from the factory is not too bad but still restictive for a twin turbo setup.

So would it cost me about the same or more than a japanese one to leagalize a skyline from the UK here in the US?

It doesn't matter really where it comes from because there is only one place that can comply it and that is MotoRex. You are at the mercy of their prices which are about $10,000 more than those I posted.
