Sorry, I looked up "cadelic comberder" in Google and there were no results.

Did you mean: to put your foot in your mouth?

Here how about this.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catalytic_converter

This is not for you Pupik but...

I talked about the catalytic converter because I took that thing off already and it shoots more flames than ever, so if I still had it, it will shoot less flames than without it right now.
It has to be the Catalyctic Converder that made it shoot more flames when I took it out.

I took it off= more flames

IF I still had it= less flames

Wait what? I think you just contradicted yourself...

I cant talk right now I have free time using the computer in school.

I always hate but love the, " I told you so route". :)

Just the fact that you didn't know what a catalytic converter was or even know how to spell it just lets me know that you know nothing about mechanics. It also suggests that you aren't even old enough to drive. You are barking up the wrong tree on this forum when wanting to argue about mechanics in general. There are some very smart ones here on the subject, I have my ASE's myself and worked as a mechanic for several years. Im really surprised famine hasn't shut your non valid points up by now:odd:

This topic has made me giggle so much I can't even count, I love it:tup: Oh and also you spelled catalytic converter wrong again in your last post...

I know exactly what Rotary engines are made of. And I know how they work, and I know the benefits of them too, probably better than you do.

I think Rotary engines are very cool, I like them, a lot, but they are simply not more reliable (with everything else equal) than most (if not all) LS V8 engines.

It's not arguing, it's just us telling you, and you being stubborn to accept the facts.

EDIT: What makes the first generation RX-7 one of the best sports cars in the world? For some reason I don't recall hearing much about that car when talking about the best sports cars of the world.

If you can PROVE me wrong, go ahead, I'm waiting. Make sure to use facts, not opinions.

Okay where were we.... ohh ofcourse :dunce:

The first generation of the rx7 was a better of a sports car than the second gen. Right, thats because the first gen. had alot of things like.....???? aahhhhhhh!!! too many good things about that rx7.... heres a website of how cool the FB is
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazda_RX-7

hhaaahhhh.... now that you know about the FB or, (you probably knew already since you know so much).

I think it said it was in of the "best 10 cars of Car and Driver Magazine" "Right"

also the best model(series 3) was not in america it was in japan thats why it wasnt faumose in america.(I think)

Was that what you were looking for Perfect Balance? Pin me if you wish because I dont like people reading into our conversation.(no offense other people) :)

Your posting on a public forum, its not your private conversation since you started the topic. I don't care if you PM, but its funnier for me to read all this.

So, it may have been on Car and Driver 10 best cars, but you aren't even sure?

No, that's not even close to proof. Even if it was #1 in car and driver, that is still just their opinions.

And that website is just information, it doesn't say why it's one of the best sports cars in the world.

Sorry, you FAIL, and yes, I knew the chassis code was FB (hey did you know that?), and no, I don't want to take it to PM's. Please go to school. Or something.

They are also ugly as sin. Now the FC has wonderful lines to me. I would love to find one on the cheap and drop a 355 down in there, or even a 302. Keeping the engine stock would offer great reliability while also increasing the performance by tons compared to all the money you would spend on the original engine to get it to that much hp, not to mention the torque. You can pick up a stock 302 with decent miles on it for around 500 bucks where im at, with wiring harness and all.

sorry again not for editing but,

the most real reasons why people put LS1s on RX-7s is because they do it for fun and their rich, or they eather hate Rotarys (witch I met a guy with an FB that had an LS1 on it). meeeeeAAAnnnn I always wanted a friend that likes rotarys as much as me other than my brother.

If you dont believe me that people "doit for fun"
heres avideo of a guy with a EVO with a LS1 on it.(witch he did it for fun)

I dont give a 🤬... you could have found that out by your self :dunce: Like I did

Have to be rich? Haha, far from it. Read my post. If you are looking for performance sticking a small block in there is so much cheaper than upgrading what is there, upgrading the engine in it you would have to be rich. Now someone putting an LS1 in and EVO doesn't make much sense to me:idea: My friend works at ford as a mechanic and his friend just put a small block into his focus (converted it to RWD) He said it was actually much easier than it sounds, i still have a hard time seeing that. Haven't got to look at the car yet.

^^^ What are you even rambling about there? I'm confused on that one.

That doesn't prove people do it for fun. What can prove it, though, is when an owner himself says he swapped it because the LS was more reliable, and that's why he chose it.

:)

You really are a dim bulb. Read what you just linked to.

In 2004, Sports Car International named this car #7 on its list of Top Sports Cars of the 1970s. In 1983, the RX-7 would appear on Car and Driver magazine's Ten Best list for the first time.

1983, it made the list. There has been 25 years of cars to come out since then.

I couldn't force myself to read through all that bloody garbage, but i knew that i should for this reason. Thank you fellow GTP'r 👍
Im not much into doing research, if i know it then i will say it, if not then i will just wait for one of the mods to throw them into the pit. It seems like one of them is always an expert in whatever drivel is being spewed onto the wonderful forum that this is. I have been in the iron sights of one of them and the hot seat wasn't fun:scared:. Neither one of us was wrong in the spat, we just had different opinions on it basically.

I already knew that by myself. You were going to tell me why it was one of the best sports cars ever, remember?

You didn't.

If you really want to know, I probably like rotary engines as much as you do, but I actually know more about them and know when to suck it up and face the facts.

Do you REALLY think that ALL of these people are wrong and you are the only one right and you didn't even know what a Catalytic Converter was?

Use your brain, seriously. All of the people in this thread have shown that they know more than you, yet you still don't back down.

Series 3 (1984–1985) featured an updated lower front fascia. North American models received a different instrument cluster (the NA S3 RX-7 is the only rotary-engined car to not have a centrally mounted tachometer)....

The only think NA didnt get in a series 3 was "A turbocharged (but non-intercooled) 12A engine was available for the top-end model of Series 3 in Japan."

Woah, wtf? Am I really talking to the same person here? Do you have a doppelganger tfujiwara?
I told you not to cheat, but you did! :ouch: You know, Wikipedia don't have all your answers there, plus, it just makes you look more stupid!

On a scale on 1 to 10, that would be a 9.9 from me. :)

1. No, all RX-7 looks like ass. Put a good body kit on at and you have a gorgeous sports car.
2. In other words, its cheaper to buy an old LS block than repairing a Wankel rotary engine..... :sly:

What is with this blasphemy. American engines in Japanese cars, it's a disgrace :yuck:
Sad, but its true. Mazda really didn't have an afterthought after building the engine.... :irked:👎

I'm definitely calling a ludicrous claim now.
Yes it should and this thread should go down in history during the GTP awards. 👍

There are no top 10 cars with rotarys because the only cars with rotarys are all from mazdas( not all mazdas)

Back to an old post, but he kind of owned himself there. tfujiwara, you just said that Mazda's are no good because they do not reach the 'top ten'. What is this 'top ten' anyway? I've never heard about it.

I was only speaking about the first gen RX's muffy. The later ones all look nice to me, but the first gen is just horrible no matter what you do to it. I remember my step dads cousin had one and he flipped it in the parking lot of our apartment complex....wow for body roll....haha.

WTF? :odd:

Your uncle flipped a car in a parking lot? But no, your wrong. It looks quite stylish for a car that is from the 80's. I wouldn't mind owning one! :D:tup: Just like I said, put a body kit and it won't be as ugly. ;) Just take a look:

👍

Well you might also think your gf or wife is hot and i might think she looks like a witch. All things like this are about personal preference and thats it. And my preference on the first gen is to sell it and buy something that doesn't look like it has a bubble stuck to the top of it. Sure for the year that it was made it looked better than most of the cars in its class, but im not in the 80's anymore and looking at it now just makes me want to find one in a parking lot and puke on it.

Isn't muffy turbo lags pet name for you? *chuckles almost silently*

Well yeah, maybe I should just agree with you. :guilty: Oh, and don't call me that! :P Its not Muffy you *beep*, its Muzzy!!!! OMFG.......

Haha, yeah i know...its just funnier that way. Ah his other one was muzzy balls, now it comes back to me!
