Installed the basher mod without any issues and I didn't think the stock brake pedal was too bad, the basher mod made it great. However, I don't think the T500RS pedals will suit my needs. I can't use pedals with the base plate in front of the pedals, d'oh!

I am NOT understanding what you're saying here -- with the pedals in the "F1" position, the diamond plate base is by default located under your heel, where you would place your foot. With the pedals in the "inverted" (or "GT" or "hanging") position, you have to move (relocate) the diamond plate base plate to the metal "hoop" so that it can serve as the base where you place your foot/heel.

See Page 16 of the user manual:

If this doesn't resolve the issues you're experiencing, are you perhaps having an issue with the texture of the diamond plate not working for you, and you would prefer a smooth base plate, or am I misunderstanding completely?

How did you place them ?
1, 2, horizontally, vertically ?
If you have only one, they seem to "wander around" while applying te brake. That could cause a "mechanical" break (I read somewhere).
But as you say, if you are a 0 ABS driver, you don't have to apply much pressure.

I did that for a while driving my Audi R8 LMS Phoenix around the ring (a lot), but since I'm working on doing that with ALL my cars, I switched back to ABS1, since every car reacts different under braking. [end off - topic]

They have always been placed vertically and used as a pair.
I briefly used one, but it was placed vertically with foam spacers on each side...
....as per @mrbasher posted on preceding page (post #279). So no wandering around.

Made my own today.
The bushes were far to stiff. So i drilled out the centres a bit and that softened them up alot.
Plus added a couple of bits of very soft rubber either side to fill the remaining space.
Cut and drilled the bracket.

May need to make it a lil softer...

Yes the ones provided by BasherBoards are actually extremely soft bushings that are rarely used by anyone and the only place I could find them was Riptide themselves in the US.

Here's the link

Just select 60 or 70 at the bottom. They sent them to me no problem in England and they arrived fairly quick too.
