I write the game log names on the cards, and most of those cards are in those 4-card boxes Interact used to make. And those boxes are in shoe boxes. My most active cards tend to be kept in a home-made box for six. I give precise dimensions of that in the following rambling page:

I used a Dex Drive to save the saves to PC, and keep them sorted by game/log name. And I also have some multi-page cards which I used to use mostly for backup, and they might still have their saves if I needed them.

It's not entirely impossible that I have lost one or two of the games I list above. I haven't played GT2 for quite a long time. But I should still be able to retrieve the Dex saves.

well there is a way to name your hybrid cars cause I changed the name of my viper gts drift machine to "sidewinder" at the end of the codes put your name as follows

You missed a 'D'. You need to know the codes for the letters as well and that's the bit I haven't been able to find. I think I saw the code on a site somewhere.
