If only Gordon hadn't wrecked at Chicago, he would only be 10 points behind Brad K at this point :grumpy:

Brad still has plenty of time to choke.

Yeah but in this day and age, all the start-and-parkers guarentee that the worst you can realistically do is 30th

It would have to be before lap 25

To give his crew enough time to get the car fixed enough to get back out long enough to make up all those spots, a la Will Power at Fontana.

I'd say it's a two man battle between Keselowski and Johnson. Of course, NASCAR will make it's every effort to get Johnson to win Cup #6 by calling out phantom cautions and that crap.

I want Keselowski to win the championship. We've had the same two champions winning since 2005, and now is the time for someone else to step up. Nothing against Johnson, as he is one of my favorite drivers, but the fact that he wins so much makes me frustrated, and think, "Is he ever going to lose?".

No Trucks action until October 27, when they will take on Martinsville. As for Nationwide and Cup, it's all about Charlotte. The Charlotte Motor Speedway is one of my personal favorite tracks NASCAR runs. Winning at Charlotte bears almost as much weight as winning at Daytona. It's Friday night action for the Nationwide racers. As for Cup, it's Round 5 of 10 in the Chase for the Cup at Charlotte. Cup rocks Charlotte this Saturday night.

Best wishes to all racers and teams competing this weekend. So... bring on Charlotte!

I fear Denny Hamlin is slowly letting this Chase slip away from his grasp. The 2 has everything going for him really and the 48 is chasing who hasnt been clinical in th Chase just this far. I think Kasey and Clint have a shout if they can grab a few top fives.

How ironic if in its final season Dodge of all makes won the Sprint Cup...

People actually still think this...?

Well how about that, Essentially (For now) Pheonix Racing and Furniture Row Racing have done a switch-around

Agreed.👍

At the very least, it would be a fitting way to say goodbye to Dodge. (for now)

Edit: Phoenix Racing confirms Regan Smith for Charlotte
I found a line from that article quite telling:
“Regan performed the tire test at Kansas and that should be helpful at intermediate tracks. We believe he can help get our program back on track and help attract sponsorship going forward.”
The way I read it, the Kurt Busch experiment was a bust.

Cannot be unseen..

Yes i'm bored..

Don't quite think the first pic is what I had in mind:ill:

And what's even better is that if Kurt doesn't something wrong to piss off the sponsor it will mean he's pissed off the team at the same time.

Can't wait until he's stuck racing for his brother in Nationwide or Trucks, or better yet he creates his own team and goes bankrupt from it.

I hope he screws up royally and they fire him as quickly as the hired him.

👍

My main wish for Charlotte is, for Kurt to finish multiple laps down, while Regan finishes somewhere in the top 15. That would be awesome.

Am I the only one that's kind of happy for Kurt, I mean he escaped a team that was competitive only because it was essentially another Hendrick team to a team that can and has proven that it can win.

I think it's pretty sad that you guys repeatedly wish for people to fail, rather than wish for them to find improvement in their life. The Busch brothers are talented drivers that have anger issues. Personally, I would rather they find ways to manage their anger and learn to control it, so more drivers can compete on Sundays. If the Busch brothers leave the sport, that just means that there are 2 less drivers out there each week with the talent to win. How is that good for anyone?
