Congrats Tony Stewart.

As mentioned,Tony did absolutely nothing wrong,he held his line while Busch was busy "mirror driving" trying to hold off the charge of Stewart.

Kyle Busch, this is for you :
You messed with the wrong guy last night. There's no way that Stewart was going to lift off.Judging by your past driving antics, let this be a lesson to you,you are not liked very much at all,did you hear the crowd ?????.Take your licks like a man, race to the finish, don't play silly 🤬 little block and weave games,it's only going to get you into more trouble.Take a lesson from last nights finish,a majority of these NASCAR boys don't play your silly game that you think is so cute.

Oh and by the way, again judging by your past antics,I feel quite sure that if Stewart was in the lead, you probably would have got underneath of him and gave one of your infamous moves,by plowing him out of the way.

PUT HIM WHERE HE NEEDS TO BE!!! YEEEAAAHHH!

Oh yeah, TNT's coverage is actually getting worse. That bottom 1/4 screen ticker needs to go. The HD feed has the ticker plus overscan. I can only imagine the SD feed... probably half the screen is gone.

It wasn't that bad for me on SD, but repeating the same adverts 3 times every hour really annoyed me.

Stewart literally did nothing. From what I've seen Stewart held his line while Busch just cut up causing himself to spin.

Also, only one race left of TNT than I can watch the races again.👍

This.

It really didn't matter who was behind Busch, he was gonna get moved out of the way, turned or he would wreck himself by blocking.

edit// on the Bill Weber deal, search for "Bill Weber vs. the world" or something on Youtube, it's hilarious!

I'm going to have to have to watch videos of what happened from this race before making some sort of comment. All I do know is... Tony Stewart and Kyle Busch are two of the controversial ones. So this is somewhat a "what do you expect?" deal. Again, I'll have to see videos and reports and such before I offer my opinions.

Up next for the Cup and (maybe) Nationwide is Chicagoland. NASCAR heading to the Midwest next weekend out of the sunshine of Florida.

Even while I'm one if the only real fans of his (Everyone else seems to be a band wagon fan), I say he made a huge mistake trying to block. Saw the replay and he had enough room where he would have made it without a last lap pass as Stewart ran out of steam, but he had to go up. I applauded him for taking responsibility last week and taking 2nd for once in Nationwide instead of whining, but now he needs to stop making moves like that at Restrictor plate races. Thats yet again another wreck for him in a row that he brought on himself.

I saw The Big One at The End and I rewatched that at-least-third-degree vicious hit that Kyle got from Khane from the POV of the rear camera on Kyles car at least a dozen times.

If I were to put a caption on a still shot of that crash that sent Kyle into the air from the infield side it would read "PWN3D!!!" And in my opinion, it's the mid-way clubhouse leader for "Motorsports Hit of the Year".

Sorry for the 1337, but I couldn't help it. ^^;

He took an equally hard hit from Logano to the driver's door right after that, not to mention the hit to the wall in the first place was nasty as well. Even though I am not at all a Kyle Busch fan and hate his constant whining, it was good to see him walk away from that one.

If Kyle had held his line instead of blocking, he would have won. The COT doesn't appear to side draft as well as the old cup car/Nationwide car and that was Stewart's only other option to try and win, Kyle got a big push from him in 3.

If Kyle had held his line instead of blocking, he could have possibly won. The COT doesn't appear to side draft as well as the old cup car/Nationwide car and that was Stewart's only other option to try and win, Kyle got a big push from him in 3.

(SLIGHT EDIT)
Tony had a heck of a run going at him,it would have been close,no doubt about it.Instead, look what Kyle did !!!

An interesting point got brought up about Kyle Busch today at work. Because of his charades out there on the track, look how much money that little stunt cost the team owners. How many cars were involved ? How many cars got totaled out because of this ? I don't exactly feel that the team owners are too happy with Mr. Busch right now.A lot of money went up in smoke in the final stretch for home.......which could have been avoided.

So after many weeks of speculation, Martin Truex Jr. will join Michael Waltrip racing in 2010 in the new #56 car.

Now I think MWR will make some real progress without Michael being a fulltime driver/owner.

Its not like he is the only driver on the team, it just taken them a while to get the equipment right and for them to gel in so it wasn't as if he was holding them back. Also, Reutimann has been doing well for MWR.

+1

Also, remember that MWR was a brand new team with a brand new manufacturer when they entered sprint cup in '07. I'm impressed with the progress that organization has made the last year or so.

This should come as no surprise, Busch says it was all Stewarts fault.
Busch says Stewart dumped him at Daytona: All is not forgiven in the eyes of #18-Kyle Busch. Busch said he felt he was "dumped" by #14-Tony Stewart Saturday night at Daytona when the two cars collided as the drivers headed to the finish line of the Coke Zero 400. Busch didn't directly criticize Stewart at first, but found a way to make his point when asked what NASCAR should do about last-lap crashes at Daytona and Talladega. "NASCAR can take steps to look at it," Busch said. "If the second-place driver dumps the leader, then black flag his ass. He doesn't get the win. If he's up along side the leader and dumps him, give the third-place car the victory." Busch then was asked if he considered the bump with Stewart "a dump." "Yes, it would be considered a dump," he said.

Maybe he should actually watch the replay.:dunce:

No surprise, it is Kyle Busch after all. Just when I was starting to gain some faith back, he manages to show once again why people hate him. I can't even give him a piece of my mind on his site as apparently their is no way to talk to him. I think its safe to say I'm about done with being this guy's fan as obviously he still doesn't know how to grow the hell up.

Just want to say this quickly... it seemed more like Kyle Busch brought that wreck on himself. He tried too late to put a block on Tony Stewart, and Smoke smoked Ky. Busch. If anything this is more like Kyle "pwning" himself by trying a last ditch effort block on Tony Stewart, but to no avail. I'm not really a fan of either Tony Stewart or Kyle Busch, so it's tough to say who was truly at fault.

But... all you can do is keep racing, like this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway.

Maybe he should actually watch the replay pull his head out of his ass and take responsibility for his actions.:dunce:

Fixed.

Kyle Busch is a great driver, but he is so arrogant and pissy nobody can help but to hate him. You would think that he would learn from Kurt when he got clocked by Jimmy Spencer for acting similarly, but apparently that isn't the case.

Joey Lagano got it done at Chicagoland Friday night with the Nationwide Series. Congratulations to the young New Englander.

it's tough to say who was truly at fault.

Kyle Busch's.............all the way.

I feel safe to say that Busch's spotters told him on the radio that Stewart was upon him,but he still played the game and lost !!!!!!

Sorry, but Kyle Busch is a wreckless idiot, playing around with an 800hp,3500lb. missle, going 180 mph, what do think is going to happen when you play silly games like he did...........the answer is in the finishing lap.

Windy City in the house! NASCAR Sprint Cup at Chicagoland is GO! Vickers led lap 1.

Congratulations to Mark Martin for a whirlwind victory in the Windy City [area]. Jeff Gordon finished second, but Rowdy Busch finished in 33rd or something. Didn't get to see most of the race since I was so tired being out with my parents.

After staying on the track with everyone behind him pitting for tires (some 2, some 4) I thought for sure he was a goner (sp).
As his crew chief said, Lagano was up on the wheel, and he simply drove away from K Busch and the rest of the field.
Amazing 👍

Congrats to Joey, another Connecticut native.

Congrats to Mark Martin also.

Another congrats to Martin. Good job to the Target team and Montoya, coming back again from a lap down to get another top ten. 👍

I knew Joey Lagano was from Connecticut, but I wasn't sure at the time. That's why I didn't type Connecticut.

So the Brickyard is next? The tire issue from a past Brickyard 400 better be resolved. Some say it is, but we'll have to see how that all goes down.

According to what the drivers have said the last few weeks, the tire troubles at Indy are gone. Most of the drivers that tested there last month were able to run a full fuel load on a set a tires without wearing them down to cords.

It seems all roads are leading to Stewart-Haas Racing these days.

Kevin Harvick has told Richard Childress he would like to leave after this season, according to multiple sources. Harvick has one year remaining on his contract with RCR, but the Shell/Pennzoil sponsorship deal on the No. 29 ends at the end of this season, and Harvick is trying to move with it to Stewart-Haas.

Tony Stewart has said his team is interested in running a third car in Sprint Cup in 2010. Adding Harvick in a package with a strong sponsor would be a masterstroke.

Childress is in a tough spot. He could hold Harvick to the contract and try to re-sign Shell/Pennzoil, but in a performance-based business, the Stewart-Haas option, undoubtedly, is more appealing to the gas and oil company. If Shell/Penzoil decides to leave, Childress has to find $15 million to $20 million in sponsorship to replace it -- a very difficult prospect in this economy.

With Tony Stewart's leadership and ability to add sponsorship, as well as the chassis-and-engine partnership with Hendrick Motorsports and the infrastructure investment made in the team by Gene Haas, Stewart-Haas has become one of the two or three best teams in Sprint Cup in less than a year. Stewart leads the points, Hendrick's Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson are second and third, respectively, Stewart-Haas' Ryan Newman is seventh and Mark Martin is 11th (his four wins lead the season).

While Stewart-Haas is trending upward like a rocket, RCR is trending downward. It's become a team that can't find the speed to run up front, despite the potent driver lineup of Harvick, Clint Bowyer, Jeff Burton and Casey Mears. Bowyer is in Chase contention, 15th in the points (126 behind 12th-place Matt Kenseth with seven races remaining before the Chase). Meanwhile, Burton is 17th (182 behind Kenseth). RCR hasn't won a race in 2009 after winning three -- two with Burton and one with Bowyer -- last season.

Harvick has had a dreadful season. He's 25th in the points with two top 5s and no other top-10s. He was fourth in the points last season, but his last victory was the Daytona 500 in the opening race of the 2007 season -- coincidentally his first race with Shell/Pennzoil on the No. 29.

RCR is the only team Harvick has driven for in Cup. Elevated in 2001 following Dale Earnhardt's death in the Daytona 500, Harvick has 11 Cup wins -- at least one in six of his eight seasons -- and has been in the Chase the past three years.

Harvick would also bring additional Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series capability to the organization, joining the JR Motorsports operation owned by Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Rick Hendrick. Kevin Harvick Inc. competes in both series.

There also seems to be the possibility of Danica Patrick joining Stewart-Haas next season. She toured the team's shops in Kannapolis, N.C., on Monday. It was likely a fact-finding mission, but the fact she'd take the time indicates definite interest in the organization.

The IndyCar driver is the top-ranked American in the points, and is having her best season. It has also been reported that Target Ganassi Racing has offered her an IndyCar contract, and Andretti Green Racing would undoubtedly like to keep Patrick. She has options, all of them good.

Tony Stewart is too wise to take her straight to Cup. It's probably safe to say he'll make her an offer, and it will probably be patterned after Newman's famous ABC program with Penske. My guess is the deal would be for seven Cup races and a full Nationwide schedule.

Stewart, the IndyCar Series champion in 1997 before switching full time to stock cars, was asked a few weeks ago at Daytona what advice he would give Patrick in making the transition to NASCAR.

"Nobody knows whether she can do it until she gets out and tries," Stewart said. "I don't think she's ever been in anything but an open-wheel car or Formula 1 type car. I don't know that she's ever driven a heavy race car. The only way to find out is to get in it and do it. If it's something she wants to do, she has to make the commitment to do it. This is not a sport and a series -- and especially with the three touring series, you aren't just going to show up once in a while and be good.

"That's what happened with me in '96 and '97. In '98, when I ran 22 Busch races, I started getting it. But I was in the car just about every week to start learning that feel. And it was hard to bounce back and fourth and be good in both. Obviously, she's gotten where she is because she has a ton of talent. You don't back into winning races and getting to the upper levels of racing by not having talent. If she's really serious, it's kind of a crossroad for her."

As options go, Stewart-Haas has to be very attractive to Patrick, too, just as it is to Harvick. The team is the new star in NASCAR and it has magnetic drawing power.

It's filler time.
